How many times does it happen the dogs finishing in correct order? 1 in every 1,000 I'd go for

You are assuming with your calculation that each dog has the same chance. With this not being the case the odds on it happening on a run of the mill BAGS race would be substantially less....probably in the region of 300/1 to 400/1.The price quoted would not exactly fall into the value category but is not exactly a rip off either.

Tomli are u serious you must be a trader at po-wers

I disagree with regard to Bags races which in their nature are structured to make them as open as possible and are generally 5/2 / 3/1 the field and extremely hard to call unless you know

For you to say 300/1 0r 400/1( i.e. 50% or 100% margin on the bet) is not a rip off is a joke. 8.33% or 16.66% over-round per runner based on the above odds If you gave the most astute greyhound man 719/1 (which is not me) he would probably lose on the bet

The Mind boggles

Powers trader....now thats a firstLaugh

I never said it was value but with the exposed nature of BAGS dogs it would be possible to see come across races where certain dogs are more likely to finish mid division than first or last and also races where early paced dogs either win or finish last.It would take a lot of  patience and discipline(two well known attributes of BAGS punters)but I would say that there may even be races where it would be a fair price.Definitely not the biggest rip off punters will ever face.

Star Pastures wouldn't hold a candle to meLaugh

Ok your entitled to your opinion but getting these type of bets right  are once in a lifetime picks unless you start combining selections
The tricast is hard enough(paid £112 on this race Fav finished last) but six in correct order is way too hard

I suppose my main point about these PP specials is there out to con the punter with these specials

If a dog race was 4/1 all six runners then the true odds for getting it right would be 719/1 ok we accept that they have to take a profit from the race say a generous 25% margin then the price should be 540/1

Although the above betting does not take place that often even paying 400/1 would make it a skinny price and also that bet is not aimed at the astute greyhound guy its about putting up a perceived big price for your average shop punter

Dreadful value and sharp practice imo

We can agree to differ.I still think it better value than some of their in running prices e.g. 500/1 Shamrock Rovers with a couple of mins to go against Spurs was one that stood out to me lately.

My best and most unluckiest bet was the 4/1 Spoils gave me for Kauto Star to win the Ascot Gold Cup.He would have come home alone if allowed to take his chance.
