I wont be voting for him but Gay Mitchell is way to big a price at 8/1 to be next president. He is the Fine Gael candidate and they have nearly 40% of the vote so all he has to do is get that vote. The complaints about him is he is silent and has run no campaign but it has`nt really started yet, also the entry of Martin McGuinness will galvanize the Fine Gael vote.He has a good track record as a vote getter and is a seasoned campaigner,he is a bit acerbic so i will watch tonights debate with interest.

I agree with that.

He has the money and the organisation behind him.

8/1 is a crazy price.

Why would you not vote for him if you are betting on him!?
That`s presuming you are. Or is this just an opinion and not a tip!? Or a bet!?

Tubridy seemed to be looking for a cut-price president-one that would work for the least money.Should the president have to go short to please the crowd?
A question I ponder is this:Is the person who earns a million and gives away 900,000 more to be admired than the one who earns 100,000 and gives away nothing?
I think so.Its not the money-its what they do with it.

I have no particular preference but it Couldn t have been more obvious last night who Tubridy wants to win .... Michael D ...... He hates David Norris tried to embarres Mary Davis at the end which was very unfair ,  did his usual with Martin McGuiness ask him a question which ,  as is par for the course with him,   he won t answer and let s him off in a tangent about something else and then says nothing to him and just went through the motions with the others .....
Ironic also he starting the debate about the Salary for the the First Citizen of the state being too high at 250 k yet he is an employee of RTE funded by the tax payer and is on a salary of over 600k !!!

tubridy was very poor at interviewing them, agree taking cheap shots at mary davis at the end,he can come across as a bit of a **** at times to put it mildly

Tubridy is lightweight and wants to be jonathan Ross or wogan or something, BBC don't mix this stuff, he should just interview vacuous celebs imo, suits him better

Giant Strides..It is only an opinion and i have backed him.I am however voting for Dana as i agree with most of her views and i would gladly lose my wager to see her elected president.

i think gay has to concentrate on his own policies and forget about attacking mcguinness at every chance...getting very boring and the only candidate to do it.....NO CHANCE of winning

THE PRESIDENCY is just a sideshow. The real battle is going on for the soul of Ireland. Its olde Ireland v new Ireland.Olde is skippered by Dana (assisted by Mitchell?) while the new is being groomed by the others.Looks like the new have it.

That was a different wildman who fancied Mitchell,if there is a bigger eejit posting on any forum in the world I'd like to read him.Saying that he is comedy gold ,although I do get a hint of low self esteem from his posts.

By purpose read the post again,i said i never gave your idol Mincer a loser which he now tacitly acknowledges.
That means on threads where we were engaged in battle four times i called a truce and told him to back a horse and on all four occassions they won at 20,7/2,9/2 and 9/1 these are verifiable, check them out if you like.
I really got the Presedential election wrong in more ways than one.

Wildman ya eejit, you never gave me anything in your life. You hardly think id invest money on your say so.Theres about 10 nutjobs in every betting shop in Ireland wiling to give tips, you are no different to that.I couldnt verify anything you ever tipped because i wouldnt have taken any notice of your ramblings,if you have tipped winners then the best of luck to ya,but i wont ever be following you.The blind leading the blind springs to mind

Now you know that to be untrue, you read every line but you have a low attention span so you forget anyway you don`t back horses.
The thread that really spooked you and Your Lack was when i explained that you can learn something about a poster by his use of syntax and language, always a worry for fantasists.
How come the new additions to your team are an embarrassment to you with an inability to read a simple post,i accept though that that isin`t your fault.

I will openly admit i do read alot of your posts wildman,i'm doubled up laughing at most of it.There are people like Tommy Tiernan getting alot of money from comedy and they wouldnt hold a candle to you.Ya should really try and make a career of it because when it comes to making people laugh, you have talent.
