Due to the popularity of the blog, it has been necessary for http://www.irishracing.com to make some changes in terms of how it operates.
We propose to temporarily stop publishing your posts and next Monday we will introduce our new arrangements.
The blog, combined with its readers’ comments, has been instrumental in highlighting issues within the sport of horse racing for the last two-and-a-half years and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people that have contributed to its success.
Over 16,500 comments were posted on the blog during that time, making it the most popular sporting blog on these islands, the website has 150,000 unique users and generates 4 million page impressions monthly.

The content of comments has become increasingly 'regulated' (censored) in recent times but there is still a laxness there in relation to anonymity which it seems is about to be addressed

Perhaps people had dared to draw attention to , ahem , certain form inconsistencies or even instances of dubious exhibitions of jockeyship.

I presume from Monday on anyone wishing to contribute to the blog will have to register with a valid email address and it will be moderated to death, which might actually mean the death of this popular blog?.
