Two right for Cupwinkcook including the hardest of them all.
Three right for Stamford Bridge, the greyhound is wrong but now we know why your name was uttered in such hushed tones.

Yeah should have cottoned on to that wonder dog YELLOW PRINTER who won the Irish derby Irish Derby in the 60s (before my time) I remember an old time punter in Shelbourne Park telling me he was the fastest dog he'd ever seen+ think he was the first greyhound to break 29sec for 525yds at the Dublin track ....

Q 11  (WAR)  about the legendary American Triple Crown winner "MAN O WAR" - I know I'm wrong but a good bluffers answer !!!

I thought Yellow Printer was an English greyhound of that time, was at the White City when Camira Flash won the Derby.
The Boss song in question was not written by him and was sung by many.

He was trained during much of his career by  Clapton trainer John Bassett but did indeed win the Irish derby of 1968-But returned to the UK in in 1969 and won the Sir Billy Butlin Stakes at White City + the Wood Lane

He also won the Summer Cup at Wembley+ the Pall Mall at Harringay  He was elected Greyhound of the Year in 1969 and retired to stud to stand in Ireland at a fee of 75gns.

Roy Wood was the song writer for the Birmingham pop group The Move.
The Wagner opera was involved in the best finish i have ever seen.

Well done Workrider although i am surprised you were able to think straight considering events elsewhere,Rheingold correct. The race came to mind when i saw Ernie Johnson riding in the seniors race at Doncaster,he was a decent lightweight jockey who was shown up by Lester Piggott in that memorable finish.
Another correct answer from Cupwinkcook,Santa Clause correct although i like the thought process that arrived at the Sister Sledge song Frankie.
Just questions 7,8 and 9 to go,current scores
Stamford Bridge   5.
