Compared to other countries racing? UK racing still a much better product imo.

Surely fishing, a look at the respective prize money on offer would suggests that UK racing is a bit of a joke outside of the big days.

in terms of the quality of horses, the best usually, though this has been a bad year, we are also v short of staying Chasers, as a product in terms of a day out, Britain does it much better.

No Newman i'm not but i did say as a package meaning everything, i knew we'd have the best flat horses mainly because of Coolmore but i'm talking about everything. I think in terms of courses the UK would be miles ahead while Chelters and Aintree far superior festivals to what we have although Leopardstown at the Crimbo is excellent.

I suppose another way of stating it is how amazing it is that we don't have a showpiece stadium/racecourse facility for horse racing. There is no doubt that the horses are world class and some of the training facilities are world class also.

Irish racing is the best - far better than UK racing, thing I hate about the UK stuff is you don't know the result until the race is run.

Rocketfingers...ever been to Aintree? Personally would rate Leopardstown and Punchestown as far superior, although there is only one Cheltenham!
