the only way they could make this race remotely interesting would be to put 8 flights of hurdles in front of them [;)]

I think there may be a supplementary stage tomorrow so hopefully a further challenge will arise.
Snow Fairy for some reason doesn't seem to have found form this season. Add in the fact that she is running over a trip too short.
Famous Name is running over a furlong too far and needs a soft Group 1 to win one.
Roderic O'Connor will probably set an even pace.
Recital is a dog.
Dunboyne Express to have any chance of being placed would need Kevin to start showing some worthwhile form.

Good post Soaap, like it. My views are in bold.

There is nothing else out there. Too many alternatives to this race and only second prize is up for grabs.

I agree. She will be a lay W/O. Nothing like a dead one in the w/o market

Famous Name is running over a furlong too far and needs a soft Group 1 to win one.

He will never win a Group 1 but can place here. I'd make him fav w/o

Roderic O'Connor will probably set an even pace.

Needs shooting. An overrated beast that won a terrible Irish 2000 Guineas. Cheers Dickie Hughes.

Recital is a dog.

I agree.

Dunboyne Express to have any chance of being placed would need Kevin to start showing some worthwhile form.

Kevin could be winning with everything and this soft yoke would have no chance of placing.

Needs shooting is shorthand for he is trip less. All the pros on course use it.

Yeah the firms on course don't mean any harm to the beasts, it's just the lingo.

Another example of why Group 1s across Europe are devouring each other.

Complete Rubbish imho

The Matron Stakes could see an odds on shot in Misty For Me as well. Too very uninspiring races.

Pathetic turn out in all fairness, bad crop of horses in Ireland at the minute, Oxx, Weld and Bolger all having nothing worthwhile.

The scary thing is that Snow Fairy was only earmarked for the race after being banned from running in France for technical reasons. She will shake up the favourite if she returns to her Asian form last year and recent soundings from connections have been optimistic in that respect.

A repear of 2007 on the cards when a BD 1-2-3 occurred, Dylan Thomas taking the main prize; IIRC, Red Rock Canyon was a maiden, yet still was 3rd [as pacemaker] in this Gr1.

Race notable for a filly in the form of Finscéal Beo taking on the blokes.

She finished stone last...

Tricast the 3 APOB runners; ROC likely to set a strong pace given the way he won the Irish 2000G; Recital looked an awkward sort in landing the Derrinstown [strong headwind, admittedly].

Yard in form too; after Maybe, Wrote & Requisition the weekend.

Couldn't touch Snow Fairy with counterfeit after her poor run of form since her Oaks' heriocs last year.

Alternatively, the e.w. thievery of 1/3 hotpot's opponents is there to be had...

Tradefair thinks "needs shooting" is racetrack lingo that says all you need to know about this bluffer. He manages to get the 2 dog name man to believe him which of them is worse.

Been on-course for 30 odd years, never heard the term "needs shooting" other than in an extremely derogatory manner. It certainly does not mean the horse is tripless, in fact whatever your opinion of The Irish 2000Gns, to suggest the winner "needs shooting" is an incredible thing to say about a recent Group One winner. Perhaps Coolmore should heed Tradefairs advice before thinking of charging a 25k service fee next year!

How would i know you silly lieing ****, i used to go racing regulary but hardly go anymore. I mainly back greyhounds and i only go greyhound racing bar the big horse race meetings.
At least i have some concept of reality and the betting world, calling people names for not having an even bag with you on something they can back @ 10/3.

agree with thatcher...its normally said abut a swine of a horse ...the fact that roc won the irish gns over a mile means he HAS a trip....its the ones that move from trip to trip without winning that are the heart breakers....

You know some of the lingo and in childlike fashion you keep repeating your new word,we understand that bag to you is a thousand.Conversation with the 2 dog name man must be tortuous with him trying to use the word thousand so he can call it "bag".He will be cheering on Willie Mullins hurdler shouting "Go a bag stars".
When you are next in Shelbourne go to the obese Barry Hogan he will give you some new rhyming slang which will supplement your limited vocabulary. Here is a good one for you as it well describes you "Cream Jug" hth.

Barry Hogan doesn't stand any more you dozy cow, he hasn't stood in years and couldn't of layed an egg anyway. How about you just stick to cleaning up your old mans sh|t and leave us alone here you worthless piece of sh|t.
If you where a teacher for 20 years it explains why this country is in sh|t

Come to think of it who haven't i clerked for??? Can't think of too many...anyway movvvvvvvvvvvving on.. Thursday lunchtime update. The going at Leopardstown is now good on the outer track which will be used for the Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes as well as the other Group 1 on Saturday's card, the Coolmore Fusaichi Pegasus Matron Stakes.

The inner course is currently described as good (good to firm in places) and will be watered for a short period today.

The weather forecast is fine for today but widespread rain is forecast countrywide for tomorrow night and Saturday

He has not stood in Shelbourne for well over a year now AD, last time i saw him there was after racing during last years Derby i think it was outside the Corporate entrance, seemed in good form then but sure that was quite a while ago, no idea if he stands at the horses or not

I will cut off a digit for every grand/k over 8k that Roderic O'Connor stud fee is next year. He does indeed need shooting. 10f is not the answer.
