At this meeting last year the Irish Derby winner Treasure Beach scrambled home in the nursery, normally trainers are creatures of habit and often target races. This year Aiden OBrien runs Wrote in the nursery with the steadier of 9-7,at least Joseph can claim the 3, but this lad is no Derby winner in waiting and while he battled on gamely in Cork that was a very poor race,i make him a lay today.
They are making Steps To Freedom favourite for the listed Oyster stakes and although he is top rated i cant have him.In his last race at Gowran when he loomed up alongside Priomhbhean he had a long think about it and didnt go through with his run, another lay.
All negative so far but my nap runs in the last Harangue. He has already run well at Galway and whilst i think this horse would be ideally suited to Naas or Navan,he is a huge big galloping horse,he has handled the track.Last time out he could not handle the bends at Sligo losing many lengths yet he still beat Smithfield and Apolksapart cannot see anything to touch him here.
The first race Outback has the best form but i dont trust the trainer not honesty wise i just feel his horses regress.Requisition seems useless to me,how did they back him so heavily in Tipperary,Canary Wharf ran with a degree of promise at Leopardstown behind the ultra impressive Camelot and should be the best of the OBrien pair.Fastidious has been the most disappointing of all.backed off the boards on debut on The Curragh where he disgraced himself i can see this fellow finishing the season as a maiden.

The useless horse won!!
I am not doing good today. Down five points. laid the last winner at 4.7

Here goes the last three lays.

Race 5) Steps To Freedom 3.8 Jessie's horses are running well but is this a step too high.

Race 6) Missy O'Gwaun 3.35 John Oxx is having to travel away from the Curragh to get winners this season. Ben Curtis is finding it tough without the claim. Tramore form doesn't usually travel.

Race 7) Harrangue 2.98 One of the rare reverses for the Weld stable at Galway last month gets his chance to go one better.

Well done soapp, you blew your way out of trouble again last night with those inspired lays.Must take my hat off to you,how do you do it so regularly?.Somebody once told me that knowing when and when not to lay favourites is a god given gift,a bit like being a horse whisperer.Well done again

Oh Wildman Wildman you fell off your horse, even the dull Rocketfingers would be ashamed of this post. You got everything wrong. If i was marking this it would be covered in red.Your post is riddled with contradictions, every line is saying 2 things, even the normally quiet soap criticised it quite rightly. Some dopey defender will come on saying you got Steps To Freedom right poppycock he was the moral winner and very unlucky. You had a lucky streak and came up with some winners and fooled me coz i won some money but i gave a winner too.Give up the tipping before you break Workrider and go back to the quizzes and the parodies.
You should never have ignored me as you are now alone and unpopular here, no one likes a smarty pants.

wildman got it wrong alright ...but what punter doesent at one time or another ...he made clear his reasons for his bets and stuck to his guns ...that doesent make him a loser in my book...if more people put their bets and reasons for them up before the race ...we would have a full book of losing betting slips imo..its easy for the snipers to make great calls after the event ...i shall await wildmans next synopsis with great anticipation....

Lads, I don't think the horse ran his race to be fair, that can happen, if he'd comw 3rd of 4th, i'd say yeah, he has judged the horses level of ability wrong, but that was too bad to be his true running, any horse can throw in a stinker. I think they should give him a nice break and come back on a more conventional track in the dog days of the season. I was on the Oxx horse each way so I got burnt as well, couldn't believe the result really.
