Bit of a punters graveyard of a card tonight .... Mr Weld said on  RTE last night his best chance of a winner was in the last catch an eye ..... 1/2 ....too short for all of us i think .....
Going to chance New Magic 20/1 in the big race ..... Twice a winner at the 1 mile trip including at the festival last year off 89 ..... Races off 92 tonight ....has had a couple of runs over 7f this year carrying big weights .... change of stable from last year harrington to Mcloughlin probably not a positive ....Drawn 10 bit a luck in running with course and distance winning form might have a squeak in a very open race ...

In the process of going through Galway but it does look tough tonight.

At Goodwood in the 1st i fancy Forte Dei Marmi, i see pricewise also put it up hence the avalanche of money for it. While he was dissappointing last time at Sandown i will forgive him that run.He has been running in better class races, has good course form (always a big positive her imo) and goes well in these big field handicaps. Hopefully the sun keeps shining and drying out the ground.

6.45 - Boynagh Joy @ 12/1 (She improved greatly last year and was thrown in at the deep end at the Curragh earlier in the year in a Group 3 won by Emulous but i thought she ran well enough. Next time at Naas can be wrote off as the jockey said she slipped on the bend but she ran much better then at the Curragh when 4th to Moran Gra who reopposes today. With the pull in the weights i expect her to reverse form with that rival. She has a good draw and the ground should be just about perfect so i expect her to go close. Hopefully she don't act up like she did at Leopardstwon.)

7.45 - Copper Dock @ 6/1 (Had dropped to a good mark last time when winning easy i thought at Leopardstown. That day he did well to avoid the faller in the straight who seemed to be in front of him. 7lb raise does not look excessive to me and i think he can go in again off this revised mark. Draw is not the best but he'll be held up anyway and if the gaps appear he should be thereabouts.)

As you expect at Galway, tough again this evening. One bet again tonight, Meade/Carberry won the first yesterday & I'm hoping they can repeat the dose today with London Bridge in the 5.05. Won an egg & spoon race at D/Patrick a few weeks ago, but was impressive & stiff track tonight will help this lad, giving 3lb to the Weld hotpot but I think he is up to it, 3pts win this evening.
