Kildare            Mayo
Limerick           Dublin
Tyrone/roscommon   Kerry
Cork               Donegal

These are the two pools for tomorrows draw  with cork v kerry the only combination not possible...although what happens with ty/ross will they not be able to meet mayo?

Hard to see how they can have a draw tomorrow with the Tyrone/Ros game outstanding and its bearing on this draw.

If mayo cant meet the winners of tyrone/ross(which will prob be tyrone) it prevents tyrone meeting mayo who they would deem to be an easier proposition than Kerry Or Dublin?>...think the matchs are down for next weekend so the draw i'm sure will go ahead tomorrow....

Are they definetly down for next weekend? I know when the draw was made last year they had the 4 quarters all on the following weekend, two on sat and two on sun. As said above Tyrone/Ros game round 4 qualifier **** everything.

I maintain the qualifier draw and the provincial draws at the beginning of the year has been fixed Laugh .. You only have to look at the way the Leinster lot was made out. I thought the draw favoured the lesser counties. On one side you had Meath, Kildare, Dublin, Laois, Wicklow and Longford and then on the opposing side you have the remainder: Louth, Carlow, Wexford and Offaly. My point is they have it set up for a 'weaker county' to get to the leister final. The clashes of Meath/Kildare v. Dublin would have attracted a crowd '$$$ - money: the element of the GAA.

I thought Londons qualifier draw was 'put together' for them. Round1 they got Fermanagh, then round2 they hosted Waterford. (Remember Waterfords manager giving out about a revamp of the champ. structure, All Ire B Champ. etc.). In Round3, the two weakest teams left out of the 8 would have been neighbours Limerick and Waterford. They coincidentially got each other, the other 3 pairing were neighbouring counties aswell, all pairs in the same province too ..Meath v Kildare and up north - Tyrone v Armagh & Antrim v Down!!

Look I'm talking through my arse but we all know how corrupt our beloved organisation is! I might take this to the Vatican to see what they think. Blush

My prediction for the quarter finals:
Kildare v Dublin, Kerry v Limerick, Tyrone/Ros (pref for Tyrone) v Donegal and Cork v Mayo. Kildare and Dublin you watch!! Keep the faith.

if dublin had draw cork, they would have been left wit 2 teams  who could not play each other.

hope tyrone beat rosscommon.they will give the jackeens a better game.think kildare will beat donegal and beat winner from previous game too.Kerry will hammer lickerick and cork will beat mayo. Thus cork v kerry.otherside is more open

Dont think there can be any doubt tonights draw was fixed. It had to be.

When it came to the third quarter final and dublin were drawn out first it had to be Tyrone coming out of the hat next or else the whole thing would have had to be redrawn again. Thats just what happened.

Surely someone planning the draw must have realised that the chance of Tyrone/Roscommons being drawn against Mayo would have wrecked the whole draw. The only conclusion you can make is that they knew it would not be a problem as they had already fixed the draw.

The ONLY way tonights draw should have been made was to simply agree Roscommon/Tyrone must be the first team out of the hat and then if they were drawn against Mayo you could have a redraw for that quarter final. By not doing this there was always the potential for all the matches having to be redrawn again.

Looking ahead to the next matches i think Croke Park will definately suit Kildare but they are not a team i would want to be backing at short odds in any match. While other sides can win matches with 50% or less of possession thats not the case with Kildare. They need much more than 50%.

I would not be taking 1/2 the Dubs if they played Tyrone. Tyrones performance on Saturday was their best in two years - even accounting for a very poor forward line on the night. Joe Mc Mahon give one of the finest defensive displays i have seen in a long time and Philip Jordon seems back to his best form. Sean O'Neill has added much needed freshness and pace to the defence.

If Tyrone can get Penrose, O'Neill and Mulligan in the starting line they could be dark horses.

Paddletoe is right - the Draw had to be fixed for the reasons stated. And of course the GAA - even before the Draw knew they had a problem because of the outstanding Tyrone - Roscommon match - and still they went ahead with no explanation of how they were going to deal with the situation. As always they took us for granted. Talk about insulting our intelligence ! These so-called Draws mean nothing. And what comment will be made - nada. Heads in the sand as usual - the way they are dealing with the referring debacle.

The draw isn't live anyway is it?

Wasn't there an incident a couple of years ago when Jason Sherlock mentioned who Dublin got in the draw before the draw was made supposedly live on TV

db 1944, I remember aswell there was some **** up with a player or manager mentioning the opposition and the draw not even made! Paddletoe you have it spot on.

I remember a GAA hurling 'draw' from 2009 season.
My in-laws (one of whom is involved with the Cork junior football team)knew Cork were playing Offaly in the next round days before the draw was made.
I couldn't understand how they knew.
The other sides in the draw were Antrim (who lost to Dublin) & Laois (who lost to Galway).
Does anyone know if there was a rule stipulating Cork had to play Offaly before the draw was made?
