Reports are emerging that Dublin hurler Conal Keaney has suffered a leg injury after a motorcycle accident this morning.
According to reports on gaa.ie, the Ballyboden St Enda's clubman was travelling to work on a motorbike and was accidentally struck by a van. As a consequence, Keaney will miss Sunday's All-Ireland quarter-final against Limerick in Semple Stadium. More to follow... |

One thing after another. At least ODwyer and Treacy will be available for selection.
Get well soon Conal. |

Correct me if i'm wrong but this is div 1 winners v division 2 winners...surely Dublin will win this if they made progress...?
|
|
By:
They've probably made a bit of progress beating Kilkenny 3 times this season, beating Galway at a neutral venue.
A bit more progress would be making the All Ireland semi final with 3 or 4 of their more influential hurlers missing. |
|
By:
Dublin will win on sunday and then should be too strong for Tipp in the semi , sure didn't they bate them in the league [;)]
They are then likely to play kk and should give it a right go , sure they have bate them thrice (not twice) this year already!!! |
|
By:
That's not strictly true toby. I really fancy a full strength Wexford against Limerick in the football though.
Pity they wont play it in Wexford Park to give Wexford a fair crack of the whip. Only a fool would suggest Dublin have made no progress in hurling this year. |
|
By:
Wexford will demolish Limk imo - bet of the weekend for me
|
|
By:
Tough call on a dual county like Limerick having to play both matches this weekend. Not a problem shared by their opponents.

ha ha tony is seething , problem with gob****s like you tony is you are too arrogant and thick to realise that though you can have a go at someone on here you will soon leave yourself wide open for a riposte

I fancy Limerick to put the Dubs away Sunday....will be strong aggressive and outhurl Dublin......Limerick have always been dangerous in this kinda situation.....mite even try a Limerick dubbl as the standard is shocking in the footie.....any one can beat any one and when Wexford footballers are expected they fall down....Wexford goin in as favs.....[;)]

Lets get this straight once and for all. The league means jack, no one cares about it. They beat Kilkenny three times when it did not really matter. When i came to the crunch they were dismantled like an average outfit. Limerick are a Div 2 side, if the Dubs can't beat them they will have made no progress!!! Love it
. Luckily Limerick have nothing to lose in truth. They have some serious hurlers, Kevin Downes will be a top full forward for years, strong and a brilliant eye for goal. Declan Hannon is a rolls royce, he is in the top 3 young hurlers in the country in my opinion, if i remember correctly he got 16 points against Newtown Shandrum as 16 year old, scoring all but 1 of Adare's points. Dodge and Paul Browne will hold their own at worst, half back line is strong. Seamus Hickey in full back is the problem. If Limerick get into their stride early and the passing game does not break down this will be a very good game. Dublin should win this match, if they don't sure they can go to Tipp to pick up a few more hurlers. |

I have a feeling Dublin are training hard since very early in the year and may have peaked too early.
|

IS DOG playin?? Thought he was a massive doubt? Downes is nt 100% either, was 50/50 durin de week to play. Think he'll make it but unlikely to play de full 70

donal 0 gradys state of fitness will make a huge diff cos outside of tipp hes an automatic main man...

|
By:
if dublin cant beat limerick daly has failed...all the pressure is on the dubs..but i do think they'll win sunday...

If limerick and Dublin played each other around the time of the league final, you could have all you wanted on limerick at bigger odds than now even if keaney was missing then. But they have gone in opposite ways since. It will be good for Dublin this year, no matter what they do after. Take the intensity out of their play, they are back in with the chasing pack.

Really looking forward to the game now.
Keaney did his cruciate in the other leg as well as breaking his ankle. Timeforchange if we could get a few more as brave as O'Dwyer it would be great. Tough lad well able to take a belt and has been doing all year. |
|
By:
You can have a GRAND on at just ova 4/5 now on here so the drift continues ; imho this was never more than 50-50 and Dublins price was too short. even with Keaney and in any event i'm suir Donal O Grady being a true sportsman would prefer to beat a full Dublin team.....Limerick your a lady and git in their for my dubbl[;)]

5 pts double
dublin hurlers - 1 10/11 kildare 1-4 Well done timberman you saw sense eventually. 2 very young teams, both developing. Standard wasnt great but a special mention must got McCrabbe for his pass for the 2nd of ODwyers 3 goals. Unbelievable goal. If it was scored by a bogger we'd be hearing about it all year here. |
|
By:
ok he is a bogger but you know what I mean. ![]() |
