i've made my decision i've place layed it.....
![]() |
By:
See you there Wonky. Ennis horse very strongly fancied. Why would you place lay it? Surely a nomal lay is d best option.
By:
A brave place lay imo as it looks a 4 horse race between the 3-5-7-15
Hard to see anythin else bein involved - maybe Welds if he aint savin it for Galway |

what a bastard of a horse this fellow is to me....backed empowering @ 5/1 w/o 7.8. and thought it really should have won if joe had took it off the fence when he went a couple of lenths up...i backed teos sister she was very disappointing back to the drawing board for her i'd say...massive crowd there with thousends of spanish students in attendance ....stacks 2yo winner will come on a lot for that run..his mind was on other things yet he ran a cracker....one to keep on the right side of imo....

By:
He hasn't done a huge amount wrong in his races to date workrider. Keep the faith my friend, there's a race to be won with Eagle Canyon - probably over 10f plus

By:
he could be one of those horses that have no trip the worst kind of all sof...i had one myself in the 90s no matter what distance it never won yet we gave it every chance to find its right trip....maddening bastards those kind....
By:
Hear what you say mate and let's hope he finds himself a race. Half decent form figures of 32433 in his last five starts over, respectively - 5f, 7f, 7f, 8f, 6f. I just think they need to step him up in trip as, like many Montjeu's, he doesn't possess the speed required at these shorter distances.
By:
i had a look at him tonight sof...he could do with a break he was starting to get on his toes as soon as he entered the parade ring..hes still a smashing looker....
By:
Yeh mate he's a lovely looking fellow alright.
Agree with you workrider they should give him a bit of a break now - maybe 6/7 weeks off and then bring him back for the Champion Stakes! ![]() |
By:
as one famous trainer told an owner who asked if if his horse would ever win a race...the trainer after a long pause said ...he'll win a race all right ..but it'll be in a greyhounds stomach....

FFS it must be just me looking at the sideways head carriage on the ****. Grade 1 pig. |
By:
^^^ Couldn't have put it better myself. Thinker of the highest order that horse.
By:
listen sure hes a beautiful mover we've always thought a lot of him we'l ask the boss where we go next with him
By:
welcome back prospero.....

By:
8 Hurdles would sort that horse out..........a nice novice hurdle at Stratford in oct/nov.
By:
Ya know what, with his pedigree and the way he travels sweetly at times, the tempo of racing over hurdles might just suit him, allow him to get his breath in a way while jumping. Neat and well made as well from what workrider was saying, all quality in jumping terms, bit like the fly.
He'd get the 2 standing on his head imo and he is still unexposed at distances over a mile. A nice duel purpose type. I'd say even now though, he'd cost 6o or 70 thousand. |
By:
you'd be taking some chance at that price neill d...

No betting for me tonight workrider, I'll just watch in from about 7:30 on, love watchin the racing on a Thursday night from leopardstown on a Thursday night, was supposed to go to Limerick tonight, but I'm under fairly stringent financial constraints atm.
That was a great card at Naas last night, haven't even looked at this evening beyond the Eagle Canyon thread, but I know its a good card, Someone mentioned Jan Vermeer was running, I've an awful feeling he might be gone in terms of Ballydoyle now and might need a long break and a change of scenery. He would be an ideal candidate for the DeKock treatment imo, as I'd say he would have almost as much talent as the likes of Eagle Mountain and archipenko, he also did a great job with Golden Sword. It looks to me like they've turned him sour atm anyway. |

his run behind workforce as a sighter was a good run ..if back to anything like his best he'd be a massive bet w/o fav...
