Fantastic display again by Eoghan last night.
Making the final table is a brilliant achievement and he is one of the very few irish players to achieve this. A nice $782,000 in the bag already as well, which should cover the Vegas expenses. |

Toby he is right. You are an aftertimer
By:
toby, you will be in Vegas, the last thing i'd want to be doing is going to the Penn and Teller Theathre to watch 9 lads play cards a couple of feet away from you
By:
il probably head over, I am not convinced it would be that enjoyable sitting in the theatre but the craic with the lads and the most serious after party ever is a major lure. Maybe they would pipe it to some TV's at the hooker bar and then it would be just like a normal night in vegas. I was on the rail for the day when Marty Smyth won the PLO in 2008 and boy was that some craic!!
By:
premier , i might call in for an hour , it would be rude not too , one of the lads with me is a friend of the chap involved so def will pay a visit.

Enjoy toby, best place on earth
Yeah gimme i'd say the after part will be some buzz. I think Ben Lamb is the on eto beat, his performances in the World Series this year have been amazing, already won a braclet, cashed in 12 events and is player of the year. Good luck to Eoghan, he is in a lovely position. |

Eoghan O Dea 5/1
Ben Lamb 11/2 think one of these will take it, on form you'd have to be with Lamb at 11/2 |
By:
is this on tv or internet ?
By:
Is it on tomorrow?? tv?? net??
By:
Yeah final table starts tomorrow, it's on WSOP.com
By:
It's all live on ESPN2.
ESPN - Channel 417 have 3 hours live in the early hours of Monday morning at 4:30. |
By:
Given how they play I think Heinz (5/1) and Makievsky (9/2) are decent bets to be 1st player eliminated.
Think O'Dea is a bet at 5/1, definitely no margin for the books at that price. |
By:
I heard at Thurles two racecourse bookmakers shared 200 grand in a recent tournament, anyone know who they are?
By:
O'Dea is likely to make few errors and pick his spots well. It is hard to see him not being in the first 4 at this stage.
I watched the show on ESPN last night. Hewitt completely lost the plot over his last 15 hands or so. Incredibly poor play. |

wildman - John Keown won €100k 1st prize in the IWF last weekend. Cant remember what name he bets under on course.
By:
That sounds like the name i was told but i have no recollection of a bookmaker of that name.
Thanks for your reply. |

Ben Lamb lost the plot on the final table, very lucky with Ah 7h all in against JJ 4 handed he hit a flush on the turn and then 3 handed he reraised the Czech lad with KJ pot committing himslef when the Czech went all in with pocket 7s
Lamb totally over played his hand and was lucky he was basically a coin flip but the board came 5 blanks. Pius Heinz won in the end, i'd say he deserved it he was the best player on the final table. Matt Giannetti who was busted by Lamb in 4th was very unlucky and played well. |
