1st race...i like qatars pearl who ran on really strongly on its debut at naas recently and had st of zanzibar behind i think lyons horse will uphold the form...
2nd race...zip top who impressed me at leopardstown....
15..10     seta who at one stage was well fancied for the 1,000 gns looks to have been found  favorable opportunity ...
15 45..very hard to get away from wow , but i thought from my position at epsom i was about a half furlong from the finish that she failed to go on and win her race...blue bunting is a bet to nothing at her current odds and i'll be backing her w/o fav...
finally in the 16..20...i think nantucket bay has a great chance...
good look all punters on what is a cracking card....

WOW for me, will love the Curragh, I think I saw 3/1 about her when the market for this first opened about a month ago, with Powers I remember, I didn't take it as I didn't have the spare cash at the time, but it looks excellent now. I think she will win and easily enough at that, loads of scope. I'd love to see her go for the Ledger after this.

Yeah 4/5 is very short, might get a bit of evens somewhere, you'll be surprised from what I've said, but I actually won't be backing her.

Yes, I noticed that at Epsom as well, I backed her and was gobsmacked that she didn't go by.

There may well be some substance to your Epsom impressions of WoW workrider as I couldn't believe she didn't go by the longtime leader who got a cute ride.......I would say though that KF was not at his best on her, though he did say afterwards that she was hanging on the camber.....being by Kingmambo will she be ok on softish ground...also driftin a bit on here...I just couldn't back Godolphin as  they are not reaaly firing as they can do...Bolger has ground concerns for Bamimpire.....it will surely be a stronly run race and that might find out Dancing Rain, Epsom being a fast track suited her ....i guess KF is finished with Ballydoyl as he is over 2moro and its Ryan on WoW.....once we dont get 2much rain hard to see past WoW my nap... though I also like Bondage...with Nina.....up LaughLaugh

i was Seething she didnt win at Epsom, had a big bet on her Cry
im willing to give her the benefit of the doubt as the pace of the race in the oaks was farcical, her price is terrible though so i wont be backing her tomorrow,GL

i heard that the boys of ballydoyle are siding with JP Murtagh in the oaks.

Personally I think Blue Bunting is a great bet.

Willing to take a chance on Exodus as the supposed second string of Aidan O'Brien's in the Ladies Derby - was an impressive winner of his Maiden at Navan last season and was thought good enough to contest the Criterium De Saint-Cloud last November.  He's been highly tried thus far this season when contesting two Group 3's at Leopardstown - there's no great shame in being beaten by Dunboyne Express in a fairly tactical affair FTO or by the filly Banimpire in the Ballysax.  He should appreciate the step up in trip and he has a useful jockey booked in the shape of Jane Mangan (a 20/1 winner and a 40/1 second from only a handful of rides under rules - also won a couple of P2P's) who's looked fairly useful to me on the limited evidence available thus far.

Holding out for some 14/1 here mind but looks worth an each-way bet [:)]

He was carried wide into the home straight which didn`t help, but it`s hard to understand why he didnt get stuck into it.
And then there was Murtagh. Plain

taught murtagh ride in the mares race was shocking pulling double then switched it back into the pack,is it me or is murtagh given some of the oxx's horses poor rides
By:

When: 17 Jul 11 20:24
huddys, that ride was from "In Hell",can't think of the motivation[;)] but the best possible position wasn't high up on the list (I'm a/was a  huge Murtagh fan btw).

Murtagh made a call to go inside rather than outside which transpired to be the wrong call ( got in a pocket and had to wait before extricating ) but that can happen and his was not the only injudious ride in the race - another horse had no such traffic issues but was simply given way too much to do and that ride seems to be have invited no jockey bashing , maybe Murtagh is a marked man after Alanza , round up the usual suspects !

STELLAR,you're missing the wood for the trees.there was nothing on the outside-just the wrong result.

I didn't realise that Fran Berry lost his whip in the Oaks till I read the papers this morning.
I thought at one stage she was coming to win the race and flattened out close home. The stick could easy have been the difference.
By:

he stopped frankies mount about one and a half down....makes her win all the more worthy imo...

Punch , you seem to imply that Murtagh deliberately stopped his filly owned by the Aga Khan from winning a Group race. Murtagh was sacked from his retainer with the Aga Khan previously when he put up overweight more than once on fillies running in black type races which made the difference between winning and being placed . In that context , what is the likely reaction of his current employer ( Aga not Oxx by the way )if he believed what you seem to believe ? And what is the likelihood of Murtagh , having burned his bridges with Coolmore , taking that risk ?
By:
punchestown
When: 19 Jul 11 11:07
STELLAR,I don't know why he did it (Murtagh) but his ride gave the horse no chance of winning and I'd have serious questions to ask him if that was my horse and the first would be why after holding the horse up way out of it's ground and when you eventually say daylight (when he moved to the outside of Obama Rules) you waited motionless for about 100 yards?,as an aside what did you make of the Mangan effort at Tipp?
