In the belief that our Irish Derby was a very ordinary event I think the French derby winner will take the spoils tonight......Reliable Man on home ground will take a bit of stopping.....top connections with  Gerald Mosse at his best in Longchamp 5/2 or so

I mentioned this on the Maybe thread. I don`t know whether the Irish Derby was good or not but this one looked good at Chantilly and should improve again. Snap!

Surprised Baraan is not in the race, he looked the horse to take out of the Prix De Jockey Club to me, i have no idea what they where doing with him that day and he ran an amazing race to finish so close and the extra 1 1/2f would be right up his street. Suppose it will be an Arc trial for him next then and then the Arc.

France: The Aga Khan's Baraan, considered an unlucky loser in the Prix du Jockey Club in some quarters, misses Thursday's Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris after a minor setback.

The son of Dalakhani was a surprise absentee from declarations from the €600,000 contest, set to feature a clash between Reliable Man and Treasure Beach, winners of the French and Irish Derbies respectively.

Trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, Baraan won the Group 3 Prix La Force before losing 20 lengths at the start in the Jockey Club, in which he finished third.

The Aga Khan's thoroughbred advisor Georges Rimaud explained Baraan's absence from the Grand Prix de Paris.

He said on Monday: "Baraan has had a setback but it not a major issue - Jean-Claude didn't find him in top form this morning so we decided to take him out of the race. He will be back on the track later in the year.

Indeed Bws. Yet another ridiculous Gr1 involving Ballydoyle horses.
Seville suddenly improves past Treasure Beach! Shambolic.
Delighted they lost. Devil
