That was pretty awesome from Kilkenny, Tipp would have struggled to stay with them the mood they were in. They looked rock solid at the back, and little tommy Walsh, keaney got a wakeup call on how to catch ball. When Kilkenny half backs are winning puck outs there is not any chance against them. Looking at the games at the weekend Galway will be favourites against cork although their game with Clare was a mismatch.
I’ll go
Galway 8/11 cork 5/4
Limerick -10pts antrim +10pts

You would have to fancy Galway to beat Cork after their impressive win over Clare.

A good few of Antrims first team players were not playing at the weekend suggesting the Armagh game should be ignored and the main focus was on the Limerick game. Limerick should win by at least 6.

I quite fancy Cork to beat Galway but should be a tight enough game, the final score against Tipp didn't do them justice, the third and killer goal that Tipp got should have been disallowed for a clear pull on the Cork defender coming out with the ball, there was only two points in it at the time with Cork about to lauch another attack.
Corks midfield and half backs dominated for long periods of the 2nd half against Tipp, putting in a huge effort to eventually draw level.
Dismantled a poor Laois team, I can see Cork been live contenders for the all Ireland if they get over Galway.

Kilkenny looked very impressive in periods against the Dubs but did show a few lapses of concentration at times, they've a long break to look forward to which probably won't be ideal but as we saw on Sunday they still ooze class and nobody will be looking forward to drawing them in the semi.
At around 16/1, Cork might represent a bit of value because they'll be sure to be a lot shorter if they beat Galway.

Cork 1-14 v 2-23 Galway FT

Commentary:
Full-time Galway are through to the last six and as good as they were Cork will be disappointed with their performance allowing Galway to take over as they did in the second half
70min+1 Horgan tries an ambitious free but Skehill blocks it on the lin
70min We’re into added time now, Galway are all but through
69min Canning with a lovely handpass over his shoulder to Burke who strikes over
68min Cork put some pressure on now but they’ll only add a consolation at this stage
65min Young Lehan opens his account immediately
65min Cork change, Lehan on for Niall McCarthy, Galway: Cullen on for Gantley
64min Cork play themselves into trouble and that man Canning grabs his tenth
63min Kevin Hynes on for Tannion

60min Alan Keirns makes way for Cyril Donnellan
59min Canning takes the point but that should have been a goal
59min Joe Canning with a great run and goal, but it’s disallowed as referee calls play back for a foul on Canning. Silly decision, will it matter?
58min Bill Cooper makes his mark with a point
57min Hayes with another point for Galway
56min Strange decision of Denis Whelan to take off McCarthy as he was one of Cork’s better players with three points
55min Cian McCarthy and Gerry O’Connor comes off, poor display from O’Connor who never got to grips with the Galway midfield
55min Farragher with his fourth point of the match
53min Two changes for Cork, Lorcan McLoughlin and Bill Cooper are readying themselves on the sidelines. It’s now or never for the Rebels
52min Galway’s forward line are a class above, great movement and passing all day
51min Burke adds another for Galway
50min Cork’s fans are making all the noise now as Cork get back into the game

46min Farragher adds another for Galway, Cathal Naughton on for Shane O’Neill for Cork
45min Score of the match from Cian McCarthy, Cork are working the ball well but not taking their scores often enough
42min Galway’s forward line put pressure on Cork’s defence but give away a free in the end
41min Cork are getting a bit more value from Donal Óg’s puck-outs now, Cian McCarthy with a point
40min After a bit of loose play from both sides in the midfield, Egan shoots wide from distance for Cork
39min After sloppy finishing at the start Galway are finding scores a lot easier now, Canning with another
38min Horgan from a free, game is starting to level out
37min The movement of Tannion, Canning and Hayes is reeking havoc among the Cork defence
36min Point for Cork, but Galway are still in the ascendency
35min Galway stretching away, Farragher with his second of the day
HT – A great turnaround from Galway
35+1min Canning sends a free over

10min The 20,000 or so Galway fans get their first chance to cheer, point from Smith
9min Canning wide from a 65
8min Another point from O’Sullivan
8min Another wide for Galway, Tannian this time. Slow start for The Tribesmen
6min O’Sullivan gets another, Cork playing with great intensity
3min wide for Galway in a rapid opening to the game
2min O’Sullivan with a point, dream start for Cork
1min James Skehill with a disastrous mistake in the Galway goal, gifting Cork the goal
1min GOAL -Paidi O Sullivan with a goal after 30secs
0min There’s a 18,000 strong crowd in the sun soaked Gaelic Grounds today for a defining day for both these counties. After poor starts to the campaign a loss here will mark not just the end of the summer but the end of the road for the losing manager. My prediction, Joe Canning to keep Joe McIntyre in a job. The National Anthem is finished and we’re almost off.

Plenty retirements now for the rebels....2 many  hurlers of junior standard in that squad[;)] and walsh retired their best man Sean Og O'Halpin....imho lots of unrest still in Cork hurling and gone for a few years now. Surely Sean Og could have moved back to the corner, especially as he was big into the fitness thing....only my view.....Tomas Mulcahy could be Corks saviour....new manager

I beg to differ. That second half display from Tipp was shameful.
They should have hammered Walsh, Browne, Mullane, Kelly et al into retirement - sent them back to the dark days when Damien Byrne was playing full back. Kilkenny wouldn't have spared them, that's for sure.
That said, it was fun to watch - more so, even, than the high-jinx at a players wedding recently!
As you may have guessed, I don't like Waterford much :)

corks half-back line have been a busted flush since 06 and still two of them playing on saturday.
they retired the rock after the 08 semi and imo he was the one defender the should have held onto for a couple of years to build a new defence around.

Thinly veiled "I was one of the 400 at Eoin Kelly's wedding".

Next you'll be telling me you were one of the lads doing Jagerbombs with the KK panel in KK sat night? [which is 1.01 a true story - although I'd say if they knew what Tipp were going to do the following day, would they have?]

Thankfully, Tipp won so no-one was glassed by one of your former star players.

Correct moneypenny. A great night I'd say!

Anyway, after my drunken bravado last night I'll retract the Michael Walsh and Tony Browne part of my statement - two fella's who deserve the utmost respect. Still applies to the others mind:)

All's not well over there moneypenny? Contrary to reports earlier I hear there was no training at 6:00 this morning. Management suggested it but were firmly rebuffed. It's a shame really. On top of everything else that's going on the immediate future doesn't look bright.

There was a meeting called for 9:30 today but whether that was am or pm I don't know. I suppose something will emerge from it.....

Probably not just yet moneypenny when Fitzgerald is on the way out anyway.
To be honest I doubt there is much point when the majority of the team are not good enough and/or coming towards the end of their careers.
If they were to do it for noble reason - set structures/conditions in place for the younger fella's coming through, for example - then more power to them. That said, I know zilch about the structures that currently pervade. Maybe they're top-notch already.

Also, and only going on the stories I've heard, I doubt they'd all stand together anyway.
