Irish Derby (8 runners) bookies come up with a 118.93% overround

2.00 Sal - 11 runner class 4 maiden - 116.1%
2.35 Sal - 8 runner class 4 Maiden - 110.66%
3.00 Sal - 8 runner class 5 H'cap - 114.3%
3.35 Sal - 7 runner class 4 H'cap - 112.8%
4.10 Sal - 9 runner class 4 H'cap - 117.23%

The only races run in Britain today with higher overrounds than the Irish Derby have been 14+ runner h'caps. Irish on-course bookies do not deserve anyone's business

Slickster you are clueless there are no rules when it comes to this. This forum seems to be totally dumbed down.

The biggest Industry SP over the 3 days at the Curragh was 66/1, for 2 horse, both in the same race, the last race on Saturday, which was a Maiden race. The horses in question had BFSPs of 402.72 & 1000

28 horses had a BFSP of 3 figs or more from those same 3 days racing

2 horses had an SP of 50/1 but a BFSP of 1000 (both in the opener on Friday evening). That's an improvement of 1798% (if the horse wins obviously!). The place BFSP for the 2 horses were 105.12 & 49.44

With BF and BOG online, unless you're going racing for the craic, you're better off staying at home.
