Thanks for the quiz,is Panaslipper and Jimmy Eddery 1957,would have bet money that Maid of Athens was first filly to win the race.
Not wishing to be smart but Nasrullah did not win the Irish Derby. |

Maid of Athens was indeed the first filly 1871 and yes Nasrullah did not win the Derby ...it was his son Nathoo for the Aga Khan in 1948.....Panaslipper 1955 and to complete the job first ever winner was trained by James Cckin who went on to train a further 2 winners of the Curragh Derby which was initially run over a mile and six......thanks for the responses but wildman scooted in hard held ridden in the style of the head waiter....[;)]
