having had the worst ascot in living memory , i'm like a dog with is tail between its legs , chastised and a little down hearted after a mauling unlike any that went before ..i sit here doubting if i can ever pick a winner again...i fancy two horses tonight at the above venue , and having watched video after video of both of their last races am sure i just might have picked up enough ammo to have a tilt at the enemy tonight ....

Words Of Wisdom was value for far more than the margin of victory in Leopardstown the last day - I think 5/1 is more than fair.
went to back one of them for £100 and ended up backing the horse above it ffs..
thanks for the advice lads but i have to stick with my own picks...otherwise my confidence will still be affected...i will post my selections before i leave and the reasons for them....
I like Rising Wind in the 8pm and think Burn The Boats 7pm e/w is the best bet on the card.
Without being accused of whining again I certainly know how you`re feeling. Fancied Fahey/Hanagan in the 1st today. Left it. Won. 2 bets since. Nowhere. I`m sure you`ll find one before me if that`s any consolation wr.

It's a bad race. There is plenty of money fielding against it at 6/4 on here. I would thread very carefully with it.
the 2 i like tonight are...
red army blues in the first...having looked at the video over and over i think he has a great chance ..i will be backing it straight and w/o fav.... it was brought to a standstill lto and did remarkably well to finish so close to expire at navan ....if it gets a clear run i think he has the beating of that fellow...drop in trip not sure to suit i know , but the way it finished after so much trouble has sold me on its chances and at 7/1 is worth a bet .... hoping for 5/2 3/1 w/o fav...
my other choice is hazinya which i see has touched a shade of odds on ..i think this is an improving filly and has more to offer than welds filly....having said that welds filly ran a cracker against banempire who endorsed the form at ascot ..good luck lads with what ye back tonight..

Hope you get a winner WR. As all seasoned investors know when you get on a bad run its very hard to break it.

i thought sapphire in the 8.00 was a big price on form at 15/8, and is now 11/4 with the fav being backed off the boards.

Dangerous not to respect the chances of Rising Wind in the 8pm.
tradefair i respect all horses from that yard ...its looking like oxx's is moving into a price range i steer clear of....
If you get a few quid in the first will lock up for the evening?
will do mate....if i get a few quid the next time it leaves my wallet the queen will blink , she ain't seen daylight for so long.....

yes trade fair i like rising wind too which is why im surprised at the price of the fav and the fact its so strongly backed, i suppose ill find out after the race when it wins by 10 eased down
the form of sappire is there for all to see, ive had a bet at 15/8 and 11/4 now. not too much given the strength of fav but it appears to have strong form claims and dont see a prob with trip or ground.

Rising Wind at 15/8 w/o the fav is a fair bet if you're concerned about the Oxx horse.

There is some chunk of cash traded on Catamount at 2.46-2.54. I'd have to be layer.
22k. What's the usual volume matched on a race like that on here? Was around €270k at the off.
Workrider got his W/O money in the opener. Might not have been a big price but gets him back on the road.

tradefair ..the best price i saw was 1/2 ..were did you see 15/8 w/o...lots of word for kevins in the 2nd unlucky , did everything bar win...backed red army @ 5/2 w/o in first...backed hazinya got 11/10 with o'hare .. comm was saying it was 5/4 as i was having my bet but i never seen any of it...smullen rode the winner well...still although i diden't win i held my discipline....
The 15/8 I referred too was Rising Wind. What was 1/2 w/o? Sapphire? Was 8/13 with Powers.

Workrider dont think Murtagh was good on the Oxx horse you backed, after the Taffy episode at Ballinrobe my confidence in Irish Racing has taken a bit of a blow. Is it all ****?
Agree on murtagh Mordin and imho McD was poor on catamount left the race behind surprisingly for him as he usually is very strong in the finish.........
