I know he has had his problems, but i'd say you couldn't meet a nicer, more self effacing, modest fella. He hasn't a bad word to say about anyone and is extremely gracious and thankful for the oppertiunities he has been given. He also has a fantastic charisma and presence about him which I'msure Coolmore will miss with regard to the promotion of their stallions.
ilikewavingatbuses, he basically said that he'd never break his word with an owner the way Fallon did and that sort of thing doesn't encoursge owners to stay in the game or encourage new owners.

I think there is a strong possibility that Mr. Murtagh has his own agenda in matters regarding Kieran Fallon and I would suggest that if any other jock had done a "Fallon" there would be no utterances from JM on subject. What brings me to suggest this is that I do remember back when KF was in trubbl with his Coolmore employers he may have said that a certain jockey was touching up his employers about the position as stable jockey, at a time when there was no vacancy....make what you wish of that , but KF was clearly annoyed at that time.....so a bit of history there I would say.....between the two....and I have made my views known regarding KF's choices on a thread b4 KF ever tried to jump ship to Recital.....imho JM was having a dig forgetting the old proverb those in glassy houses etc etc..............

Haven't seen the interview but no doubt he'd be waxing lyrical about how he likes to get penned in on the rail inside the final two furlongs, especially when drawn in the stalls on the wide outside.

I don't see what was wrong with Murtagh looking for the job when Fallon was in it. KF wasn't exactly an angel nor riding out of his skin at the time, you'll always get competition in life.
There's obviously some needle between them, Fallon was openly critical of Murtaghs ride on Eagle Mountain the year Authorised won at Epsom, maybe that was the period JayTrump was referring to?
