It's a little bit up pricewise on last year......better stamp of a horse at the sale........the hobby breeder seems to be gone.

Im not an expert GANT but I thought ones that should have been making 12-15 were making 20ish. Minton said in the paper there wasnt enough 'nice horses' but he's talking about the real high end I presume. A friend of mine got a couple that seemed reasonable value towards the end.

Colin Bowe bought a few nice lots.....a young man going places.
73% clearance rate and the average up 2k on last year........Plenty of buyers from the UK.
The big sale in 2 weeks time should be interesting if Goffs is anything to go by.

Somewhat surprisingly CB's where mostly geldings - that said a lot of his Mares seem to be homebreds.

It was a sellers market as the quality was very hit and miss. This is the first sale I've left without buying something. Very easy to flick the pages without looking at one, and even when we went to pull some out we didn't bother as they were too small. Two sellers who got 15-20k for their two horses were expecting half that but because they were nice sized and good lookers they probably sold better than they should, simply because there was a lot of dross and the point men have money again. Derby sale will be completely different and I'd be moe confident about picking up a better deal there as there should be no dross. The catalogue alone looks much better.
