To Summarise:

With royal Ascot around the corner the Irish juvenile scene is warming up, and we saw two smart performances at Naas on Monday. From a domestic perspective it looks a shade ominous that Richard Hannon so readily landed the Alfred Nobel Rochestown Stakes with Lisbourne Lad, who had been beaten at Newmarket on his second start, but the Jim Bolger-trained Teolane redressed the balance with a fine success in the Coolmore Stud Fillies' Stakes, confirming the strong impression she made at Leopardstown.

It was always on the cards that Bolger would do his best to give the stud career of champion two-year-old Teofilo an early boost and he has achieved the objective with this filly....... (it rambles on for a few paragraphs)......

Maybe's next appearance should prove informative and may confirm there are a couple of very promising
juvenile fillies in Ireland this season

Coolmore feat underplayed

It's not easy to put Saturday's Investec derby in context. The runner-up, narrow Chester Vase winner Treasure beach, was beaten off 93 in a Listowel nursery last September. The fourth memphis tennesse, beaten by Recital in the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial, has only a Dundal maiden win to his name and that14-runner event, in which Giant Serapis, has produced one winner - sixth home Spirit Of Cuba, who won a handicap off 70 in April.

Blah blah blah blah blah.... The fact that Pour Moi is French-trained clouded the picture, but Epson 2011  will go down as a memorable meeting for Coolmore, thanks to St Nicholas Abbey winning the Coronation Cup, Wonder of Wonders finishing second in the Oaks, and three horses in the first four in the Derby.
