Ballydoyle continue in top form, but can they bring off this big dubbl ?  Derby/Oaks ?must have a fair good chance of doing it...I really liked the way Wonder of Wonders flew in at Chester....very impressive....Misty for Me was good also in the Irish 1000gns and finished her race out well....But the Derby a puzzle or not...so many seem to think the fav is too short but it could drift to 7/4, if the track bookies want to get it...Stoute and Moore are unusually confident about their fella......Fallon in my view must ride ED Dunlops despite a chance to ride Recital.I say this because if he Fallon rides Recital it will cost him dearly in England, through lack of loyalty to the Dunlop stable..would be seen in a bad light...At the moment i'm with APoB friday WofW nap and the Queen nb sat...Andre Fabre's horse hype ? bluff !! or dangerous ?

Recital for me in the Derby, I'd say reading between the lines they think he's a lot classier than Seville and if thats the case he should be in the 3 at least.

The track is the imponderable, but he wouldn't be the first quirky Montjeu to thrive at Epsom.

Wonder of Wonders for the Oaks but I won't be playing at 4's

Just read an article on Oddschecker by one Nic Doggett.(yes dogett)....he makes an interesting point for 46yr old Fallon to be appointed as short term solution for Ballydoyle...saying all the best of the younger brigade are tied up one way or another and the aging Fallon could be used as kind of stop gap solution..,,Doggett thinks the way this weekends results go at Epsom could be very very important for Mr. Fallon...so he is sure gonna be fired up for it...WoW will get some drive...hopefully.......collect  [;)]

I hope so too jay,I am all over her ew ,really impressed the way she finished at chester (she didn't beat much but visually impressive and didn't have the run of the race),and looks a typical 3yo filly for o'brien who keep improving like peeping fawn, alexandrova, yesterday and all but beautiful(her mother who was second in this race to super mare ouija board(k.fallon)).None of her 3 main rivals (according to the betting)have raced raced at further than a mile and even tho their breeding and style of racing suggest that it should be within their compass they still have to go and do it.I also agree that this weekend is absolutely vital for fallon,I would go as far to say that this weekend could have a massive bearing on his future or lack of with ballydoyle/coolmore.

I`m not overly confident but it is an ordinary renewal. You really wouldn`t know which one of theirs they will back on the day.

Tartan Gigha is very interesting in the 2.10 at 10/1+ e/w

A winner of this race the last 2 years in 09 off a mark of 88 and last year off 100

Clearly relishes this CD and they like aiming him at this race

Started off the season in good form on the AW

Firstly in a Conditions Stakes at Deauville on seasonal debut when an unfancied 28/1 shot - finished 3rd but should have been second - suffered all sorts of problems in running and finished like a train
The winner of that race went on to win a G3 nto
Mores Wells over 2l behind in 5th - was a mulitple G3 winner and was just beaten a head by Joshua Tree in the G1 Canadian International in October

Then from an unfavourable draw in stall 10 off 97 at Wolves in the Lincoln Trial was forced to race very wide - was 5 wide around the 1st bend and got completely pushed off it when there was trouble on the inner - raced wide the whole way around after than and made up a lot of ground up the straight to go down by just 1/2 behind Lowther

His form tailed off in his last 3 runs on turf but as a result his mark has dropped down to 94 (6lbs less than the mark he won this race off last year)

Great e/w bet here i think
Report dj876 June 2, 2011 10:49 PM BST
jay I am on WOW myself with a good while(topping up the last fortnight)-really like her and agree with u about fallon making it a test of stamina as next 3 in betting have not raced at further than a mile(I have a small ew cover on zain al bodhan),but havant was a fair impressive 2yo(on soft and good to soft) and step up in trip should suit so wouldn't be certain about the ground.

If WOW and Midday win tomorrow it's lights outLaugh

Both Jockey and horse are the real deal.  For a young jockey in his first year in UK he got there right on cue, on a very difficult track to ride.  I take my hat off to him.  It may seem mad now, but the exposure racing will get from this will be good for the game.
