In this day and age ,there is no way they shud be going over and back checking on em from rest (even if 30 secs away)same routine all week.

im sure a lot of people were guilty of it up until this incident. they, and the child were the unlucky ones that made everyone think thrice.

Just think tho same rest every nite ,going back to check every half hour (maybe 7/8 times)the routine sticks out ,all the staff and customers of the rest know.

one answer i found unusual was when tubridy asked em what had they to say to some people out there that might think that they had someth to do with the disappearance?and gerry replied to read the book.

Did not see tonights show , but have some thoughts on incident .
I was in Pria Du Luz the day of the kidnap , left there about mid-day , but it was my fifth visit there so I know the topography and the mood of the place . In 5 visits of more than a week I only once saw any police or whatever mode of security , but fair to say I could not feel any need for same as it was a quiet , civil family oriented town . But we nearly always were there with family / extended family , in a gated compound . No sense of danger though , but in a foreign country you have to think worst case scenario ( did not prevent me being robbed in Spain last June though , so you cant be careful enough ) . Unfortunate incident , blame has to attach in some measure to parents of child , but they will have to live with it for the rest of their lives , so no point in piling on the hurt . Dont think I want to read a book about it all the same , but the media have fixated on the case and will not walk away from it . It is obviously in the parents interest for a variety of reasons to keep the incident newsworthy in the hope that some unturned stone yields results , but its a long shot now when the trail if any is well covered by the passage of time . Feel sorry for the locals too , cannot have aided the locality as a tourist venue , lots of Irish and British people with interests in property around the area . Incident technically avoidable , pity it happened . |

They left their young children on their own in a foreign country so they could go out with their mates and get bladdered. They should of been charged with neglect!!!! END OF!!!! You do not leave children that young alone, it's a bloody disgrace and if it had of been a council estate family who had done it there would of been blue murder in the press over the parents. 2 vile individuals!!!!

IMHO SF alot of people agree with your take in the issue.and I have heard very similar remarks....I agree with most of what you say in your post....doh i wouldn't go so far as you in saying that they are vile individuals...they were very careless indeed with their kids....and now suffer the consequences every living day.

last nights interview was not a live interview...it was recorded and edited as live an hour before the program broadcast as live. i feel sorry for all concerned in this regrettable incident, regarding the late late, why did tubridy and the shows producers invite some journalists of the sceptical nature to the audience yet never allowed any of them ask a question, like gaybo might have done in the past.
