1) Pass
2) Money would suggest Secretary of state, ran in a good maiden lto
3) Cannon Hill (nb) doesn't look the most genuine but he may not have to dig that deep to win this. Has ran up against some smart sorts in Treasure Beech, Cassamento and Parker Mills. Consistanntly runs upto his mark of 85ish and will take all the beating
4)Pass
5)Balladine (NAP). Could potentially be very well handicapped, ran second to Boynagh Joy who's not rated in the 100's. Had several winners behind him lto (Phoebe Van Gelder, West Cost Dream, Mrs Batt). If ready first time out it should win
6) Cool Athlete
7) Azores

6.20 Brazilian Breeze is a back to lay and travelled well last time out and might profit from being held up til later in the race this time.

In the maiden I thought Blue White Fire might the one of the once raced horses to benefit from his debut. He may also benefit from having Smullen on board as Roche set him alight the last day early in the race.

London Plane put up a likeable debut in Limerick which worked out well. While she doesn't have a great draw, neither does the fav. Ballroom surely has enough now after 3 quick runs, Brazilian Breeze didn't look too genuine in the finsih lto and of course Cannon Hill likes to fill 2nd rather than win. The ease in the ground will suit London Plane. The one worry I would have is the trip being a little sharp for her

Anyone have an opinion on Cape Of Good Grace stepping up in trip. On breeding it would be a worry but on visual she looked to be finishing off her race stronger than Wachmans in Cork. I am flabergasted at the difference in price between the 2.

Poor card down there. 3 maidens, a winners of one with a 2/9 shot and 3 low grade handicaps. They will do well to get any sort of crowd with that dross put on there.
A few lays for an interest

Race 2) Secretary Of State 1.79 was the lay

Race 3) Cannon Hill 4.4

Race 4) Golden starlet 6.6

Race 5) Gracchus 6

Race 6) Cool Athlete 6.4 hopefully. Only €800 traded so far.

Race 7) Azores 1.7 or Cape Of Good Grace 4.7 whichever is taken first.

Monksfield must be a happy bunny tonight. A double for Dessie McDonagh. A blast from the past. I bet some of the forumites were only a twinkle in their mother's eye when Monksfield was doing all his winning. Laugh

A few good winners again lads. Well done.
Never noticed that last winner. The price was an insult given Oliver ran her in the Moyglare.

cant say i remember tbh punchestown...i was only a young lad at the time ....the following day cheltenham was called off because of snow....the reason i remember the c/hurdle that year was because i had my last couple of quid on sea pidgeon....i thought it was home and hosed till monksfield got back up......the rest is a haze.....

Golden Cygnets Cheltenham victory was the best i ever saw on a racecourse in any code.
What a fantastic thread, some amount of winners tipped up here.Swinia and Sinndar001 excelled with excellent longshots and Punchestown and Soapp also came up with the goods.
For extra reading look up dj876 thread on Midday.
