The ground the ground and the ground.
Everything depends on the going,it was riding dead yesterday so if the rains come it could turn soft.If that happens Captain Chris becomes a major lay, this fellow is a pure good ground horse plus it would suit not only Realt Dubh but Saludos as well.Realt Dubh wants further and any give will suit him.Saludos unusually for a Bob Back wants soft or heavy ground and you could even make a small case for Cruising Katie. All this makes Captain Chris a massive lay.

Glad to see you are still listening Bigwillystyle.Your own posts are never more than one line your selections are just taken from C.A.Murphy hence no reasoning. If you care to read the post again you might learn something about how important the ground is how a sire can influence such things and how there can be exceptions to these trends but as you only work on what you are told i doubt you will take in anything.

Was racing but laid Captain Chris this morning in the hope of a ground change. It was raining in Tipperary when i left signs of rain the whole way up to Punchestown but when i got there glorious sunshine so i kind of knew my fate. Some of the good judges on here would have tried to get out of it but i was damned if i was going to do it at a loss so i just let it run.I laid it at between 1.91 and 1.93 i think it was trading at about 1.67 before the off so the punters got the value. Also failed to back a winner including a decent bet on Let The Show Begin who got done a short head after four miles one furlong still it was all worth while to witness the brilliance of Quevega...what a mare.
