DUNGUIB has suffered a setback and will miss all of the 2011-12 season, according to trainer Philip Fenton.
Fenton said on Tuesday: "Unfortunately, Dunguib has developed some heat in a front leg. He won't be running this coming season."
A ten-length winner of the Champion Bumper at the 2009 Cheltenham Festival, Dunguib was last seen finishing eighth in the Stan James Champion Hurdle.
The eight-year-old had been due to take on Quevega in Thursday's Grade 1 Ladbrokes.com World Series Hurdle at Punchestown.

Fenton imo hasn't done well this horse this season unless the horse had a setback in the autumn which wasn't mentioned and now has come back to haunt him.
When you have a good one ( and the only one you have) there is absolutely no point in preparing it for the 2nd half of the season culminating in a Champion Hurdle bid. Noel Meade was a star in mopping up prize money early in the season. As it was he was thawrted by the weather that he didn't have it ready for the AIG and the horse only had one egg and spoon race before the Champion Hurdle.
