Sounds like you had a good weeks punting. You fancy anything for Punchestown?
By:
At least most of the pitches over there pay double result.
By:
Hope you had a good trip - tbh with various accs over the phone with 365 and BOG with them too I seldom bet on-course (bar at the points).

Trade Fair with you being in the betting industry you should know racecourse bookmakers bet rules of racing.
By:
i never checked tbh.. but they never said they paid double result on their boards...so i find it hard to belive they do pay double result..
By:

Sounds like a very enjoyable few days. Ascot racecourse is magnificent, Bath fairly basic, never been to Perth.

Where have I said I work in the betting industry? More to the point where have I said I work! Certain bookmakers pay double result on course. The give away will be the sign that says "we pay double result".
By:
you said at least MOST off the pitches over there pay double result.what tracks and what books OFFER this?
By:
Do your own research.
By:
Workrider is a seasoned racegoer on both sides of the Irish Sea and he knows like i do that racecourse bookmakers all bet rules of racing. For Tradefair to suggest otherwise is wrong maybe he is talking about offices but his last comment...Do your own research...was the sign of a man running away.

I'm not running as such but I don't care either way. If I could provide a link to the information online, I would. I know that there are pitches in the UK that offer double result. I've seen it with my own two eyes. It stood out to me because no one ever does it in Ireland.
Sunderland's do it but they do not bet cash on course, they just bet clients. The only online reference I could find is: http://www.betwatsons.com/rules/default.aspx [i]3. DOUBLE RESULT CONCESSION We pay out on the double result on horseracing in the UK & Ireland only. Offer applies to all bets e.g. Singles and Multiple Bets, win or each-way with maximum payouts as per our normal rules. “First Past the Post” is not accepted. – see full details below for conditions & exceptions. Conditions & Exceptions: In the event of an amended result because of an objection and/or a steward’s enquiry Watsons will pay out on BOTH RESULTS. Exceptions to this rule when the “Official Result” only will apply are the following: h) any bet placed on course at any racecourse. There is obviously others but it matters not to me. Do your own research. |

By:
u said MOST of the books do it.does that not mean more than half off them?????????????????
By:
more
–adjective, compar. of much or many with most as super in greater quantity, amount, measure, degree, or number: I need more money. You said none. |
By:
There must be something wrong with your two eyes when even the example you cite states an exception to the double result concession is ....H.any bet placed on course at any racecourse...can you not see you are making my case for me.
By:
Fair enough. Therefore I can't prove my point so I have to walk away.
By:
This was a first someone putting up a link that demolished their own point but at least you have accepted the situation.
By:
betwatsons have one pitch only and thats at perth.....hth tradefair
By:
Never Give Up...Will you please read his Betwatson reference in which they state that the exception to the double result concession is on the racecourse where rules of racing will apply, now when you have finished laughing you are entitled to think...Told you so.

You're entitled to laugh at the link, my fault for not reading it. I was desperatley trying to find any mention of it online. Perhaps I had too much to drink at the meeting but I was under the impression I saw it on at least 3 or 4 pitches. The only one I can remember is Sunderlands but I realise they don't count.
