just some of the little things i noticed on my trip last week....the first bet i had at ascot was £45 on a 7/1 shot the bookie called to his clerk a pony @ 7/1...when i corrected him and called my bet back to him he was not best pleased ...elg was with me and i turned to him and said these english certinly take the hiss ...in the last race i had £100 at 11/1 with badbrokes ...as i was heading back to the lads i came through the cheap ring were the bookie in the very last pitch was going 17/2 about the horse i'd backed with badbrokes @ 11/1 ..now thats some differance no matter what kid of money you're backing in....on to bath had a bet with badbrokes on silverwere @ 6/1 he immediately had half my bet with the bookie beside him ..it went to 4/1 in the blink of an eye ...finally the tote, as there was no away bookie that i could see betting at perth i had to bet with the tote ..3 mins before the off doorboy was showing at 10/1 on the nanny had £300 on it was returned at just over 4/1 i was not amused i can tell you when i saw the returns ...lastly martin scruff showing 2/1 just before the off had £300 on this ..returned odds on ....never again will i bet with the nanny...on to bangor did most of my betting with p whelan backed the first winner with him @ 11/4 returned 3/1..had a look around the cheap ring as racing progressed and some real chancers there, betting well below the odds in some cases...you have to have your wits about you on course and thats a fact...
just saying it as i saw it newmanix.. my fans wait with baited breath for my imputs ...their own lives are so shallow they live their lives through me...

Where have I said I work in the betting industry? More to the point where have I said I work! Certain bookmakers pay double result on course. The give away will be the sign that says "we pay double result".

Workrider is a seasoned racegoer on both sides of the Irish Sea and he knows like i do that racecourse bookmakers all bet rules of racing. For Tradefair to suggest otherwise is wrong maybe he is talking about offices but his last comment...Do your own research...was the sign of a man running away.

I'm not running as such but I don't care either way. If I could provide a link to the information online, I would. I know that there are pitches in the UK that offer double result. I've seen it with my own two eyes. It stood out to me because no one ever does it in Ireland.
Sunderland's do it but they do not bet cash on course, they just bet clients. The only online reference I could find is:
http://www.betwatsons.com/rules/default.aspx

There is obviously others but it matters not to me. Do your own research.

There must be something wrong with your two eyes when even the example you cite states an exception to the double result concession is ....H.any bet placed on course at any racecourse...can you not see you are making my case for me.

Never Give Up...Will you please read his Betwatson reference in which they state that the exception to the double result concession is on the racecourse where rules of racing will apply, now when you have finished laughing you are entitled to think...Told you so.

You're entitled to laugh at the link, my fault for not reading it. I was desperatley trying to find any mention of it online. Perhaps I had too much to drink at the meeting but I was under the impression I saw it on at least 3 or 4 pitches. The only one I can remember is Sunderlands but I realise they don't count.
