is it ??? that description CAN encompass , soft , very soft, heavy , good , dead ground, all rolled into one, john gosden was told before he left england that leopardstown was yielding , when he got there it was he said, heavy, everyone has a differant opionion of that description.

Yielding is ground between good to soft and soft and is a proper description of ground.You seem to be confusing a wrong description or a guess with what you perceive as a catch all.

Come to England guys,we have had Good to Firm Soft in the dip ( Carlisle) and Good to Firm Soft in the straight ( Leicester) over the last couple of years. I can only guess its due to global warming, as to what horse will go on such going only the Almighty knows.
