I think Dublin will be more up for this final than the rebels as their manager CC is laid back and will be not be too keen in giving his players a grueller or a hard game ...this is the league and CC will be much more intested in the Championship...Dublin have  a big squad and will go at it from the first whistle..  time for The Dubs to win some silverware and let it began 2day...while having great respect for the Rebel forward line I'm on the Dubs and with Cork often slow to start take the Dubs haftime/fulltime ....

Fancy Cork bigtime..........Dublin on the big day not for me.

Cork are without Eoin Cadogan and Aidan Walsh and I think Nik Murphy could have his best days behind him...good luck with your bet Gant007

unreal meltdown...amazing without bernard brogan how aimless they are.mossy quinn will be lucky to get a jersey with a number under 20 again i think.pressure and him dont go well together.i still think it might steel dublin and could be the best thing ever happened for them..alan brogan will be back and hes due a good year..cork are brilliant at times.then they fall asleep for periods.i wouldnt be surprised to see them meet in all ireland final next september if their paths dont cross im the mean time..

Lads keep the faith and lump on the Dubs at 5/4 for the leinster title.

For me thats 2big a leap of faith...I think they were in touble b4 BB went off...he probably carrying the injury into the game...when a team have not got a few playrs capable of kicking a free over the bar from straight in front of the posts, hard to fancy them for anything...however the standard of football is shocking.... brutal really.. so maybe they could win Leinster but they must be totally demoralised after 2day

Just off the phone with the mother. She said it was the day that's in it with the resurrection, I said it was like the Easter Rising - with fellas being taken out and shot.

Celebrated by opening a jar of Ballymaloe Relish.

Meself and the young fella walked home from Croker, adrenalin still pumping.

he has shown signs of not being able to take pressure ...anyone else would have been better to take it..anyway the positive is that they were 8 pts up against the all ire champs..the negative is that yet again they couldnt hold a lead..im tempted to bk them for all ire..9/2 a bad price though

Ah your a hard man cupwinkcook walkin your young lad all the way to ballymaloo for relish and you hoping to get a look at Rachael...lucky sods way down there in rebel country...

if you are ever in Ballymaloe, drive up to Cloyne and see the statue of christy ring
Report JayTrumpOldTomDubbl April 25, 2011 8:51 AM BST
Why is their a statue in Cloyne to the great man taught he played with Tomas Mulcahy's club Glen Rovers in Cork City........
Report freddiek April 26, 2011 4:28 AM BST

No All Ireland with this team either after yesterdays performance.Had my reservations about Gilroy six months into the job and all the concerns are back in abundance for me.Is it my imagination that St.Vincents seem to have to many players on this team along with the management set up.Connolly was not a player 2 years ago,Quinn gone 3 years ago,Fennell yet to do anything in a blue jersey to make you confident and im still not convinced by Ger Brennan.Maybe it was the sight of Gilroy and Mickey Whelan standing glum faced on the pitch when Brian Cullen lifted the Delaney Cup yesterday that maybe they are beginning to realise it as well.Th Vinnies dont run Dublin football or do they!
Report Tony Fenton July 11, 2011 1:20 PM BST
Connolly hasnt played well the last 2 days though there is plenty in him. Quinn is no longer first choice. Brennan is solid though a little slow and Fennell will come on for a few games and is our only real fielder at midfield where we are stuffed imo.

Yesterdays performance was exactly what was needed for Dublin. Play crap win and keep a lid on things.

Still, wouldnt be sticking the mortgage on them for September. Or maybe I would.

If Fennel makes as big an impact at midfield as MacCauley i will be pleasantly surprised.I fear in Croke Park yesterday i saw a trailer of things to come and the same faces will be the ones to let them down as in years gone by.I have listened to those that subscribe that Gilroy is clever person in relation to matters football.I am not convinced. He has yet to surpass Pillar Caffrey.I wonder will he?
