Bravely Fought looks interesting in the first with Davy booked
3rd race looks a match up between Raz De Maree and Bog Warrior
Noble Prince looks nailed on in The Powers Gold Cup seems he will have everything in his favour to me,Mr Cracker to follow him home, was impressed with him at Limerick last time out,led them a merry dance from the front and jumping was impressive
Report rubyisgodinthesaddle April 23, 2011 12:36 AM BST
Very tricky card...tbh i leave all the races alone bar the bumper. Also probaly will be the same on Monday and may take a opinion in the P2P race but other than that this looks very tough festival and quick ground to boot.
Report Princesse D'Anjou April 23, 2011 3:09 PM BST
Will watch tomorrow and wait for decs for Monday, a few of interest in the P2P race.
Report fookitanyway April 24, 2011 11:15 AM BST
Small bet on Our Girl Salley. If she handles the quick ground then I can't see anything beating her. Question marks about quick ground but just hope that class pulls her through.

Meades horse in the Bumper looks goo given the hurdling exploits of Alle Garde. Again though there is a question about the ground. Coupled with Meade having a quite time of things makes it one to watch.

Only bet is Our Girl Sally(taken 5/2)and if today is anything to go by you'd be better off watching as things look very tricky.

Anybody fancy Mickael Dhaguenet to come back here?,seemed to be going as well as anything around it at Cheltenham when it fell.
Report JayTrumpOldTomDubbl April 24, 2011 12:42 PM BST
Mickael Dhag is not without a chance..I agree it was going ok when falling at Chelt..pricewise gives it a mention also in the RP and says the bookies are not taking any chances with him...on form the two market leaders are very closely matched and I wouldn't have one over the other...with Ruby up Mickael is dangerous but would want to be 11/2 or 6/1 to be of interest with ground and other concerns ie confidence and loss of top form........
Report Viva Pataca April 24, 2011 12:48 PM BST
Posted this on the Racing forum but here might be a better home:

Bob Lingo & Roi Du Mee both look unlikely winners at best prices of 50/1 & 20/1 respectively.

Mr Cracker finished seventh in the Jewson but bounced back over three miles at Limerick - has to improve to beat Noble Prince and Realt Dubh on Irish Arkle running.

Mikael D'Haugenet's chase form reads F53F but the Mullins/Walsh combination gaurantees the market will overestimate his chances. He was going well when falling in the RSA but that was an awful long way out and with uninspiring form this season, has to be passed over at odds of 7/2.

Loosen My Load wasn't beaten far at Cheltenham but was was a place behind Mr. Cracker in that Irish Arkle so needs to improve to beat him and Realt Dubh and Noble Prince.

The latter named was the winner of the Jewson under a typical McCoy special. He jumped very well that day, loved the good ground and put the race to bed up the hill. He's a worthy favourite.

But I suspect Realt Dubh will prove to be massively overpriced at 4/1 here. Much is being made of the fact that he requires ease underfoot but he jumped well in the Arkle (times were dipping under standard all day indicates good ground) and just got outpaced at a crucial stage in the race. He is 2/2 against the favourite and although that one clearly preferred the extra half-mile, there's no doubting Realt Dubh will appreciate a step up equally so, if not more. Meade has always held this horse in high regard and I guess this is a race he particularly likes to win, so should be priming Realt Dubh to prove just how good he is.

This catcher in the rye gelding is strongly fancied today, expect massive improvement for the better ground ,12/1 is incredibly generous.
Report GANT007 April 24, 2011 1:17 PM BST
it's a fairly open bumper........the jockey on your fancy would not be my favourite........good luck with it.
Report dj876 April 24, 2011 1:24 PM BST
agree gant he is weak ,but also trainers instructions are nearly always to be held up in last in bumpers.
Report GANT007 April 24, 2011 1:36 PM BST
that's true.......12/1 is a decent price if he would like better ground.......will be around 7 or 8/1 on course or less.
Report GANT007 April 24, 2011 1:53 PM BST
The track/ground looks in good nick.
Report Princesse D'Anjou April 24, 2011 2:11 PM BST
He'll definitely appreciate the better ground IMO Gant - wasn't expected to win on debut but still managed it and was outclassed on soft next time out, there'd be worse 12/1 chances today.

I was delighted for Mr. kiely today a true gent,it looks as if his stable are back in form after a quiet enough period. It was at the punch festival last year that claire gleeson's go all the way finished second first time up and was later sold for 310,000 to alan potts and on his only subsequent start finished fourth in this years chelt. fest. bump.I was looking at mr .kielys entries for the next while and see that he has 2 unraced fillies entered in punch fri.week .one of them owned by brian gleeson (tv pundit)and the other by his wife claire.

Noble Prince. That`s what I love about NH.
Your animal travelling best and falls for the first time with a first Gr1 at his mercy.Cry
If a horse is travelling like he was in a Gr1 on the flat there would only be one winner. Infinitely better medium.

Viva Pataca..You are proving to be quite the all rounder, after your success in the quiz, you were supremely confident about Realt Dubh, well done.
dj876..We may not agree on the fortunes of Ballydoyle and Coolmore but we both agree that was a great call in yesterdays bumper.
