You obviously weren`t watching the Dubai carnival.
He rode a Gr 2 winner for them on super Thursday and rode last year for Andre Fabre.

Ah right. No GS i watched the World Cup but they were on about a young jockey whom rode a winner i think that might have been him. I like Ajtebi i think he's a much improved jockey. I was thinking he'd have a big season this year and maybe take over after Frankie retires(i hear this is his last season in Britain riding)as Godolphins No.1

I have no problem with Ajtebi either but this guy has clearly made a big impression.
Bring back Kerrin McEvoy I say!

Very good young French jockey AD - been riding for Fabre for a few years, much better than Ahmed is and would be the best move for Al Zarooni this season if he can get Mikael riding whenever possible

RISING star Mickael Barzalona rode his first British winner on only his second ride when Ocean War notched Godophin's first winner of the season in Britain at Newmarket on Wednesday.

Ocean War, trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni, holds a Derby entry and was introduced into the market as a 33-1 shot by William Hill and Paddy Power and cut to 40-1 from 66-1 by Victor Chandler.

The 1m2f contest was set to feature the much-anticipated seasonal debut of the Henry Cecil-trained Midsummer Sun, another with a Derby entry. But the 6-4 favourite looked green throughout and was never better than mid-division before fading completely out of contention to finish second-last.

Cecil said: "We haven't been able to get on the grass so they [the horses] may be a little short.

"Midsummer Sun didn't like the ground and was very green." Midsummer Sun was pushed out to 66-1 from 25-1 for the Derby with William Hill after the race.
France-based Barzalona enjoyed a successful Dubai Carnival for Godolphin, highlighted by a narrow win aboard Khawlah in the UAE Derby. The 19-year-old jockey stood little chance onhis first ride, Neebras, also for Godolphin, in a valuable sprint earlier on the card. Neebras appeared very green on the way to the start and then missed the break

The fact they stuck with Ajtebi for so long surely deserves some sort of award
