Lay 68.3% 2 (2) Glor Na Mara Defining Year - Looks useful Sing Softly - don't like the form of her win. Had the best of the draw and given a positive ride. Beat nothing. Tell The Wind - Useless Triple Eight - A hound Imperial Rome - Useless Deire Na Sli - Form ties in with Alyir (useless. Useless Glor Na Mora can't find a way too lose here. A very soft listed race. Anything over 1/2 would be a steal. Defining Year for the F/C |

Possibly. I`ll have a closer look later. Big ask and I would have preferred a longer break.
Obviously Glor Na Mara should be capable of beating her and the rest, but will he? |

I couldn't back a maiden that has been beaten 5 times at the track at odds on in a listed race.The buzz surrounding Frankel should make him artificially short.A lay for me -if he wins he wins but I have to be against him.

Glor Na Mara the most likely winner but at 2.2 on here a def lay for me. Has yet to win a race . Best runs have been in defeat in Group 1's. When given a penalty kick in a Group 3 at this course last season was beaten by a handicapper Dingle View a 22/1 shot. Only really poor run last season was on soft ground which is likely again today.

can't watch atm but I assume this woof woof got turned over again, he'd run second to anything, I'd say hes his mind on other things, more interested in running into the back of Dingle view and mounting her last season

I don't claim to be an expert I called the race wrong but I've said on another thread why I would be against Sing Softly in a listed race. I'm happy to have been proved wrong, completely wrong. I'm surprised you could not have posted before the race that I had made a bad call because the drift told you all you need to know about Glor Na Mora. |

3 horses to take out of yesterday. # Very impressed with Sing Softly. Cleared away from the stand side group. Likely pattern class over further. # Adilapour. Plenty of scope and should win a nice prize over further. # And I`ll be amazed if that is as good as Claoimh Solais is. Photo Opportunity didn`t go on the ground as expected. Ahem!  |

On another bright day at the Curragh a very good crowd were rewarded with good competitive racing. Honours even between the punters and the bookies.
Race 1) Gold Lace (3/1). This well backed winner was in the van all the way eventually getting home from the flattering placed horses. Raphael Santi the 11/4 jolly will come on for the run. Race 2) Sing Softly (7/2) Steady in the market this one was always going well to beat the well backed fav Defining Year (7/4f) Race 3) West Coast Dream (4/1f) A winner on the opening day Ben Curtis had this one to the fore and went for home over a furlong out to beat the staying on runner up Notgonnagiveup. Race 4) Lolly For Dolly (9/2) Steady in the market this one showed his lightening turn of foot to come from the back and nailed English challenger The Cheka in the shadow of the post. Pre race observations suggested the jolly Regal Parade (9/4) would need a run were well founded as he never was going well enough to mount a challenge. Race 5) Unaccompanied (4/1) This Cheltenham runner up has improved out of all recognition from his 3 year old career and really put it up to the long odds on jolly St Nicholas Abbey (4/11) who was never really going. What the opening five races showed us was that a fitness advantage really counts for a lot in testing conditions. Race 6) Marksmanship (100/30) This one was backed from 6/1 into his returned sp. Under a masterful ride from young Joseph who was the only one to cover the break of the two front runners he got first run on his rivals. He won well from the running on placed horses. More will be heard about him. Chronicle set the ring alight as they backed this one all around the ring. Race 7) Samain (6/4f) The unbeaten Gigginstown House gelding won in very good style from the game front runner Shadow Eile. Race 8) Torphichen (6/1) with the 3/1 jolly being withdrawn at the start the way was left clear for Eddie O'Grady's top class NH perforfer to annihilate his rivals to bring up the double for Fran Berry. |

Unaccompanied also a filly Soapp but back to Glor na Mara ungenuine and not trained on in my opinion this was already well flagged by Satellite Flight and Santry.It would do you no harm to follow these two gentlemen if you want further confirmation look up Moneypennys tipster competition,a real eye opener.

that was t bad to be true sunday wildman ... would need to cut this fellow if they want to win races ...he's turned sour imo..having said that he is only a talking horse and has shown very little in his races....most probably a morning glory...

Great write up soapp,I was very taken with Samain,good pace throughout and quickened up a second time on bad ground ,good ride from PW Mullins who has been shipping some amount of stick lately.

paddywhacker ..thats all very fine , both very small fields , i was at the curragh the day he made his debut ...the rumour was this was the 2nd coming ...so in my book he's still got plenty to prove... please note , i did say the run last day was to bad to be true ...if it turns out he was a sick horse then i'd have to change my opinion of his run on sunday... it remains to be seen what comes to light ...
