Decent enough prizemoney on offer in Dundalk tonight and the 8pm Handicap worth 13k to the winner. Similar handicaps in Musselburgh and Wolv worth about a third of this to the winner ?In any event in an open race maybe Fran Berry ew as he rides the course well. Horse ran ok as well last time out...anyone know anything about the trainer?.....wheres he based what kind of form is he in ?..Has he had any winners......

JJ Hartnett used to do some pretraining for the owner. Owner had all his horses with K Burke in UK but had to relocate them when he was warned off. Hartnett had a flat winner & 2 Jumps last yr.
Macnas ran 2nd for him last week. |

Was interested in Bashkirov e/w in the last but missed the decent prices this morning so leaving it alone. Looks a toughish punting card, as it always does at Dundalk

6.30 Knock Stars,ran too bad to be true at Leop,shorter trip and track to suit and hopefully will not find trouble in running with
this small field. 9.00 Try Freedom E/W,up in trip but usually goes well here,market weakness here a worry. |

I reckon Pat Smullen's mount in the 6:30 will have too much pace for the others, especially if it's slowly run race, as expected!

A few small lays done for tonight's meeting. Mostly the jollys.
Race 1) Blue Dahlia 2.36 Not looking good. Odds on now. Race 2) Celerina 3.5 Steady in market Race 3) Via Mia 5.1 Still waiting. was 5.5 but gone out to 7 in a matter of minutes. 2 pts over best odds. 3 legs maybe! Race 4) Dahindar or Toraidhe both 6. Still waiting. Both have drifted slightly. Race 5) Sikara 2.68 Good betting race. 2.64 now. Race 6) Sarteano or Green To Gold both 5.5 Still waiting. upside down handicap. Little betting. Race 7) King Of Aran 4.2 Steady as she goes. |

Did I actually say Berry rides this course well
 3seconds.....one he didn't do anything 2wrong on beatn a shhd...and the other 2 beatn a nk on chip tea and 3parts on Moonreach after what were desperately unlucky runs.......he did lose the Oxx job didn't he? |
