10,000 lemmings from Greater Tallaght hardly counts.

Not a good night for Irish soccer looking at all the empty seats.......An International regardless of the opposition should fill a stadium the size of the aviva......a win will cover the cracks.

People have been ripped off for tickets and double header tickets for long enough. A qualifer should be packed but people can't afford it. if your from Dublin it's not so bad but the expense endured by thoses travelling down the country is now extortionate.

Charge a €10 like the Tallaght lemmings got in for and you would have filled the stadium twice.

Well done to the boys in green.......ALL ABOUT POINTS ON THE BOARD.....I'm sure if and when we qualify all the soccer people will be out draped in the flag.

Timberman........what I mean by draped in the flag is the self confessed real Irish soccer fans who stayed away last night........you know the ones who support the a loi team real grass roots guys.

The International team and it's sponsors foot the bill for the domestic game.

As for the 26 county comment.......stick to giving out about travellers and teachers.

crowds encouraging this season in LOI. Irish international games are ridiculously overpriced, amazing so many people kept paying for so long.

if you wont to go back to that old chesnut gantoo...i'l take up the gauntlet ....maths not my strong suit i'll admit ....but rovers on a good week get 5,500 sligo 4,300 ...as i say i'm not great at maths but adding those to figures together ..i'd say thats roughly 9,800 ,from 2 games ...  with at least 4 mores games of lesser patronage i will hazard a guess that yeah they JUST might pass the 8,000 combined total ...dont take my word for it though my maths are brutal ....the gross takings from the 2 games would i 'd say be around 70,000 euros thats taken into account season ticket holders and children ....a little better would you say the the competition run by the gaa that included at least 7 counties ....from which was gathered the magnificent total ...i have to recheck this just to be sure i have it right... the magnificent TOTAL OF 1,228 EURO ...THATS FOR A FULL COMPETIION ....so tell me gant ..how many combined crowds were at those games ....i await your answer with baited breath.....

Don't get your knick^rs in a twist, I only posed the question to the poster who said figures were up.......last week I saw figures of 2000, 1247 and 487 for premier division matches.......Give your league a bit of credit workrider and don't be comparing it to Division 4 hurling......loses are made at lower levels of most sports and it's up to the bigger counties/clubs to boost the coffers........You were quite happy to promote the national game over on the racing forum last week to your english buddies...well done Workrider.

as you know gantoo i always stand up for my country on the racing forum ...i also have a pop at my english cousins on a regular basis for a little bit of fun... i.e. that tongue in cheek remark re hurling , been a case in point.. i have to say in all fairness i've  often seen  you defend us too ....i thought for a few moments you were starting that old we've bigger crowds than ye story ..i hope my post allied your fears , and you are now more aware of crowd sizes in the loi..nice to know you are keeping an eye on me....
