At least he appeared to see that out, unlike his last start.
Been a hard horse to train, probably needed that after nearly 6months off, a great B2L horse. Wonder has he had a wind op? Looks like one would help him. |

Wind op is not a cure for a lack of ability.

Good shout Punchestown with Wise Oscar.
delighted for the Wise's. They were delighted with the run in Limerick the last day. They thought it was going to win at the last till it got run out of it late. Amazing Townend didn't get a winner for Mullins. Yet he gets it for Philip Dempsey. Ruby winning for an outside stable and young Mullins winning for the old man puts it up to Townend to get a winner for the stable at Navan or Downpatrick at the week-end. Ruby no doubt will be on duty in the UK on Saturday. |

Star Of Newyork was unusually weak all day.
I always lay the favs midweek when not at the races. This one was 5/2 best on Oddschecker at lunchtime. 7/2 was being hawked here. When the race got under way it was out to 6 or 7/1 on here. As Big Mac would say THEY KNEW!! |

Did Ruby not fancy the novice chases there yesterday?
