be careful of these shysters advertising guaranteed multiples in their shops...they only pay out to an advantage of 500e.so if u do click a good bet you will be dissapointed with the return..typical of them tho...the small print will do you..

notice that alright,no use to a punter doing a double on 2 at reasonable prices for a ton or 2

How can that be sure €500 is nothing ! Are you sure is is not "Guaranteed payout". I mean there must be €500 being paid out a couple of times every week even in the quiet shops.

friend of mine got done for 3k over it...its unreal .a guy(small punter) gets a once in a life time 2e lucky 15 up.rang me and asked how much it was. went to collect.the small print means he loses out on 3k.they dont deserve anyones custom..to say the least

In fairness to them the limit is well signposted in their shops, well it is in Waterford anyway. I was about to do a life changer L15 in one of their shops last week and when i saw the sign i binned it and went up the road to PPs

mast people wouldnt see it though..big print is on top and the thing about 500 limit is small at bottom.ill never again stand in their shops if i have a choice.

Kavvie no but i am in shock that any shop would have a limit this low. Tell him go to the Star they love stories like this mate esp these times.

I am just saying online i find them the best of a very bad bunch obviously much different in the shops if this is the norm.

theres no point.its there in the terms and conditions.but imagine all the peole who had multiple bets over the week of cheltenham who werent aware of this unreal resstriction.i know lots of people who do 20e yankees etc.a simple case of of a bet under the restriction would be if you had something like a grand double at 2 horses both at 2/1...both win at sp 1/1  instead of ur expected 9000 you sadly would get 4000 plus 500= 4500.so a loss to you of 4500.as i said at the start....shysters.they should be boycotted in my opinion.

I believe that 888.com is trying to takeover them.  They are a bookie that survives on its poker and casino.

Kavvie i think you have your wording back to front re; 2x2/1 shots which sp at even money ?
Also in your example, i'm pretty sure in any other shop the multi would be guaranteed for a 500 stake limit so the example above would pay €6500 not €9k.
I think that the worst part of their special is that i think they advertise it as having no stake limit, making the concession seem more appealing than their competitors but the potential gain is minimal for the customer in those circumstances. I know they're pretty much dead and buried now but i remember celtic would only pay a 'bonus' of €200 so if you had a ton win on a 9-1 shot and it returned 12's(which happenend to me last summer) they paid you out at 11-1, sick i know but that's the way it was in fairness.

Am I missing something here, do Powers, Bruce & Boyles etc not have the same limit on guaranteed multi's?
By:

Cheers for flagging this lads, I wouldn't have known, I got a 4euro lucky 15 up with powers on the day of the Betfair chase, still living off it, good thing I didn't go to Ladbrokes. I still do em and have done a few in Laddies since, I wont now.

you are missing the point rowley.it has nothing to do with stake limit.its the advantage that accrues from the guaranteed prices in multiples.and yes i meant taking evens and winning at 2s sp.the evs scenario would return 4000(plus 500 "advantage") .but the 2/1sps would return 9000.

Powers limit online used to come up as 200k iirc, but been a long time since I had a bet like that. Mischief
By:

powers limit on guaranteed multiples is 500 e stake .which is a lot diff than 500e advantage from the multiple

Sorry wires crossed i suppoose, i just meant that no shop would pay you 9k for a grand double on two evens shots that both returned twos but yes you would still be two grand better off with any shop than with  a lads one.

It's hard enough to get a monkey on with Laddies let alone a Grand double BOG at 2/1 and 2/1!!

Both firms have only been Guaranteeing multiples for the last 2 months and people are talking as if it's a god given right that they get paid at best odds with no stake limit. It's a costly offer I imagine and I can not see it around in 6 months time.

squigs i agree with you totally.its not a god given right.but either offer it or dont.they have misled people by the small print.powers just have a stake limit on their offer(500).which is fair enough.my friend could have walked down a hundred yards and done the bet with tullys and he would have been 3 grand better off.he asked the staff were the prices guaranteed .he was told yes.

Great another Ladbrokes thread. Beating the english in the rugby not enough for you guys? Anyone who does not know the terms and conditions they are betting under before they place a bet should not be inside the door of any bookmakers. All a previous poster said you should be grateful that there is any offer currently in place as it certainly won't the case at the end of this month.

I don't work for any. I genuinely feel sorry for the punter but this is a case of him making a f*** up and now blaming his mistakes it out on Ladbrokes on the forum. "He would have got €3 more off Powers". Well go to Powers, it's not Ladbrokes fault you did not know the terms in which your bet would be settled.

Too rigorous a standard Tradefair, I doubt the man in the street would bother to read the small print.

To be fair lads have it right the vast majority of punters are small euro L15 punters a max of 500 means thAt on the rare occasion the punter gets 2up they get best price doesn't cost them the world but keeps the cycle of money coming and yet with the 500max better price payout they hedge their liabilities if 4click, powers is obvious the better punters offer but if it's anyway big bet it gets phoned over and the traders say sp only if they don't like it, this offer is just like the treble odds on 1winner, it's to keep the mug punter playing and win more customers from the indepandants.

Laddies inplay markets on the rugby handicaps are often flawed.  One example was a few months ago in a Magners game.  The handicap in question was 11/2 with Lads, 15/8 here at the time.  Well worth a look for rugby punters.

there is no fake advertising on ladbrokes part,if you read their posters and boards it clearly states what their special offer on multiples are, they guarantee the prices for an extra payout of up to 500e,unreal how the major firms are offering these concessions and you still have the mug lucky 15 punters moaning,

kaavie seen as your on the subject of powers in their shops they have huge posters all over their shops with the following WE GUARANTEE ALL PRICES ON SINGLES AND MULTIPLES thats it,what this poster fails to say is this offer only applies to irish and english HORSES only,it doesnt state that they dont guarantee any prices on south african (HORSES) or even the racing from Meydan (HORSES). Ladbrooks DO!! so go build a fecking bridge and get over it

How many firms would put it in big bold writing?
How many advertisements do you hear on the radio where the T&C are muttered very quickly at the end of what seems like a great promotion.
How long was the damage that smokes could do for you, in tiny writing until the manufacturers were forced to display these prominently.

It may not be something that people like from a moral standpoint, but they have not done anything wrong professionally and the punter should know what he was doing when he was placing the bet.
