Thought would be better on softer ground, judging by welds comments unless he is putting us away.

Better to be on the right side of this babe. A legend in the making IMO. Very impressed with the run in chelt, not so with the riding. Will she run in Punch?

DKW is reported as saying a return to the flat for the Listed Salsabil Stakes (where ever thats run), and reported as further stating that he "sees her as a very high class 5yr old over jumps" so maybe Newmanix a future Quevaga which would be nice .Saturdays Racing Post had that quote from the great DKW
By:
Yup he was very sweet on her for next season over jumps when interviewed yest and did mention the mares race at Chelt over the CH when asked
![]() Mite finally have a challenger for Quevega |
By:
BJG i don't think we need a challenger to the Quevega Money Bank
DKW will surely give her time wudn't it be fine if she took over in 2013 and gave us further success in the mares race[;)] |
By:
Indeed, would have to improve massively to even get close to Quevega - i would love it if they stepped Q up in trip for the World Hurdle and see how she got on, would go close i think

Runs in the Curragh on Sunday against St Nicholas Abbey.
By:
St Nicholas who?Never heard of the horse but apparently my bank manager has.

Looks a very decent mare but the challenge to Quevega will come from her own stable BJG
By:
tarla the horse your thinking?
By:
That's the girl though she's out for the season from what I was told earlier in the year, hope she comes back mind.
By:
Ye she looked good beat very little tho. Willie said in a stable tour at start of season she was gone for the year alright.
By:
Did that really nicely 2day .....lovely consistent mare...will we see her over the sticks ever again? Nice to see Jimmy Feane walk in beside her if memory serves me right he was head lad with Liam Browne onda Curragh...has a good and well deserved job now with Moyglare...
By:

By:
Back over the sticks again tomorrow...very disappointed with DKW choice of rider...5 lbs allowance is big plus probably Grandouet is the obvious danger...
By:
this horse only needs a pilot.

Evens with PP now Chester. I think your mad btw
Only my opinion though. |

By:
Paul Carberry rides this horse right?
If so, then I think I have read it all on here. The finest horseman that there's ever been and we have two lads on the Irish Forum who reckon his booking is a negative. In any case, I think Grandouet is the one to be on here. |
By:
Well like.. this is a hurdle race...not a hunt after a stag maybe a fine horseman indeed..but having punted stronly fancied runners from small stables ridden by said man I feel somewhat uneasy backing his mounts at this point in time..probably wins as DKW would not like to be upsat..

Make that 5/6 now

Viva Pataca...I like you am astounded to read here that people actually think Paul Carberry would be a negative on any horse never mind a valuable filly.
By:
Backed her last night at 5/4...just not PC's biggest fan...hope hes taking a pull comin down to the last today though!

What did ye all think of dk's interview (very downbeat about her chances imo)just prior to race yest??
By:
Well, he was right. A race too much for her after a long season. She never looked liked getting competitive.
By:
Well dj876 here is my view:DKW has always been fair with punters in his many interviews over the years...not his fault that this interview went out so late on TV....Interview should have been done much earlier and how often have we heard Brian Gleeson say "its all about the punters" or "come racing'. Well they let the punters down on this and said interview could have been done on Friday evening and let punters make up their own minds as to punt the mare or not. Beian Gleeson put the bet Chronicle man on the spot late on Friday when asking him "what price Unaccompanied 2moro" so he was well aware of punters interest in the mare. At the end of the day imho Weld erred in running the mare with nothing to gain when he held such doubts. Finally Grandouet in hindsight was a false price.IMHO would have won at Aintree when b/d. Well done to Viva Chester and all others who profited ...by reading it correctly....
