Tom Humphries....A dreadful journalist, shallow thinker should be writing for the Morning Star.

Tom Humphries- best sports journalist in Ireland by a street. Prone to bouts of inertia though.

wildthing, flesh that out a bit for us. Shallow thinking with regard to what matters exactly?

He is supposed to be a sports journalist but all he seems to write about is himself and his feelings its more like someones diary,he also uses his column to air his political views.I notice you have changed my user name, suggests to me some sort of agenda i am quite prepared to discuss any topic but i dont want to get involved in some petty squabbles,The Icchantika presence here seems like some kind of back up for you.

He's well worth reading. His articles on the ill fated never to be seen bertie bowl were compulsive reading.

I think the locker room is supposed to be a diary type weekly column.

Do you read any of his interviews at all wildmanfromborneo (apologies for the hurt and offence caused by my earlier unjustified barb)? He has a lovely style of writing imo. What is the Morning Star btw?

The Morning Star is a left wing newspaper in England famous for its racing tipster who napped a record number of losers.I dont like confessional journalism and i dont like his writing style,he tries too hard to be smart with his right on views so beloved of affluent gentlemen of that age,i also disliked some of his sneaky attacks on sports people whose stars were waning. As an aside i took no offence at my name change indeed you will find it hard to insult me,us Tipperary men are made of sterner stuff.

Cheers for that glad to hear you're not easily ruffled.

Back on topic David Hickeys views on Michael Martins health service executive are very interesting. Hopefully Martins like wont darken the door of Irelands government again for a very very long time.

I agree with you there and can promise you there will be no Fianna Fail T.D in the County Tipperary.
