QUANTITATIVEEASING looked the most classy performer on display at Market Rasen, and the son of Anshan has a fair pedigreeto live up to, as a brother to four-time Grade 1-winning hurdler Asian Maze.
Their dam, Mazuma, had an unspectacular race career. She was unplaced in eight runs on the Flat and won a 2m maiden hurdle at Limerick from six starts in that sphere. Three of her progeny have won under rules; Hilimar Hotel, by Mister Lord, was a fair 3m1f chase winner in a relatively short career.
Quantitativeeasing is owned by JP McManus, and sold for £37,000 at the DBS Spring Store sale in 2008 to Highflyer Bloodstock. He won his first three starts and was fifth in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival as a novice. This was his second successive chase win.
