Terrific choice to stand by Cawley and ignore Geraghty plus others. On a crest of a wave is Paul, very good at what he does.Racks up these grade 1s for pastime, he can even afford to put up ordinary jockeys just to give the others a hope. With the possibility of rain over the weekend, the conditions should be perfect for Joncol, the one thing that worries me is how does the gel in Pauls hair react to wet weather,I know it is wind proof ,it's just heavy rain could make it a bit loose on top.
On the 'crest of a wave'?? His horses 'aint performing at all - 'cept for two winners about 10 days ago. His horses are out for air and the run.....
What 'wave'? It must be a small one.
I'm hoping for Joncol on Sunday too but I wont have a lot on it.

Typical reply from Dec Dec,the type of poster who cannot disagree because he knows I'm correct, but likes to pawn me off as some idiot .If you disagree, fair enough and point out where you think I'm wrong.Otherwise dun do poll dec dec

I'm sorry dec dec,I didn't realise there was a respect ethic working here. I respect you,I think you are a very respectable individual. In fact whenever I reply to you in the future I am going to remove my cap to show same. Now that we have that sorted out ,everybodys happy

Thank you very much scooby, now dec dec, there's proof that not everyone thinks like you ,maybe you are in the minority, who knows?.Scooby sounds like someone who wouldn't really care whether I took my hat off when I'm replying to him,he sounds like one of our own.But Dec Dec I do appreciate that you are a highly respectable individual from a respectable family ,and I respect that respect is very important to you.So it's with great respect that I am replying to you now,in fact not alone have I taken my cap off,but also my shoes and socks. Now I don't do this for everyone, but for someone as respectable as yourself ,it's the least I could do

A valid oppinion really, should Geraghty not be on Joncol as a proven Grade 1 jock, however if this was taken to extremes, no jockeys other than BJG, Ruby or Carberry would ever get on a top class horse in Ireland, the only time I've really seen Cawley make a mistake on Joncol was in the 09 lexus when he seemed to go for home too early. don't think the jock will make a material difference in this instance though.

Whatever about Joncol and Cawley, why the hell has Nicky Richards put Davy Russell up on Money Trix again? No doubt we'll see the same ride again. Track the leaders, wait to get outpaced by the kick at the end of the back straight, then plod on, gaining relentlessly on the run-in. If I knew he might force the pace more (I'd trust it if there was a different jockey) I'd have to have him against Joncol, 8/1 v 3/1.

Indeed you're right now that you say it. he was told to kick early wasn't he. Sunday will tell us about Joncol really as we're waiting a long time to see how good he really is. There are no excuses now and it looks like he 's going to carry my money. It will be a bad indictment of our stayers if a fourth string Nicholls hoss can come over and plunder our most prestigious race.

Alain Cawley has always got on well with Joncol. No need to change the partnership.
norekk, I was at the entrance back to the enclosure off the racetrack when Money Trix was returning. Richards said to Russell what happened and Davy said a bad mistake down the back knocked that plan out the window. whether it will be soft enough for him on Sunday is a moot point.
