Am a fan of both Ad Idem & Ballymak, don't think Ad Idem jumps well enough to beat Ballymak.
Was also convinced that AI wanted better gnd last year(before his Punchestown run) not sure now, thought he was running well despite of the gnd last year.

I know SS is a proper dog but Townend didn't do the horse any favours there. I used to think that Townend was as good as Ruby but the more I see him lately, the more I realise that he's not a patch on Ruby!

He beat absolutely nothing there. The second dogged it and the third was a 50/1 shot. Arkle my hole.
Report dinglemick • January 25, 2011 1:40 PM GMT
Ad Idem big chance today ... the 3 horses that were upsides him when he fell at the second last in Down royal all won next time out ... Agree with down all star didn t jump great that day but thought he jumped a lot better the last day when he chased home Flat out well clear of the third .... Ground won t be a problem either .. Remember him winning easily in Thurles last year on bottomless ground .... Andy mac who rode him that day back on today
Report downallstar • January 25, 2011 1:42 PM GMT

Well done winners.

Norn laying at those odds I can see you have plenty of bucks in your a/c. Laugh

With over 150 horses entered today I was surprised to see local trainer Noel Meade with only the one entry. I hope his horses aren't going pear shaped like they have many times at this time of the year.
