was in Cork yesterday and was not surprised to hear that the 13k jackpot had no units live going into the last leg (morning Supreme's race)
I was surprised however to  hear an announcement a few minutes later saying that was one unit remaining going on to the 4/6 favorite
Anyone from the tote wish to explain

Didnt check the Tote website prior to the final leg to see if there were any units left. But I expect it to be transparent.

For Cork yesterday, The Tote website was showing a total Jackpot pool of €14,957 prior to race 2, which seemed high- presumably they had added in the €5K guaranatee as some sort of top up? however the obvious mistake was rectified (can't say I noticed when). The pool numbers were correct and did clearly indicate 1 remaining unit on Morning Supreme (and well done to the punter who looked beyond the obvious in the first 2 legs).

Should be some fun when they start streaming live video from RUK and ATR and have a 6 leg pool bet thrown into the mix....! Great to see the return of the old tote double (mind you the stake has increased a bit...25p to €5!).

Betfair no longer linked to Irish Tote jackpots has been a disaster.

I can't have this. Why should this be a disaster? Anyone that wanted to do a jackpot can still do so by having an account directly with the Tote. Are you trying to tell me that there is a large amount of "impulse money" going into Tote pools because they are available on the betfair website?

Or are you suggesting that customers who wish to do a jackpot because they have an interest in Irish racing won't now do so because they are required to have a tote account rather than just a betfair account?

For me, the disaster is the Tote not having a fully functional betting website that contains all of the opportunities that their fixed odds competitors have including games, casino etc that would enable them to extract maximum value from their customers.

Hi Murphy, Im just being selfish. I like to control and manage by Jackpot stake on Betfair. Needless to say I have won a few jackpots and covered my stake fairly comfortably when I feel the jackpost is "controllable". Great motivation factor to study irish jackpot races particularly tough hcap races. Being no longer able to do this on the one site has been a real disappointment.

No text off the tote to tell us the tote jackpot is being guaranteed this month for 5 grand.
Crazy that. I reckon they were well shy of it these past 2 days!!
