AIDAN O'BRIEN fined £10,400 by the BHA

Storm in a teacup I rekon , but authorities obviously dont like his attitude . As this incident happened away from the gaze of the public , cant understand why it was not dealt with away from the public eye .  Does racing no favours . Racing , particularly in UK has not got the public eating out of its hand and can ill afford bad publicity or disfavour with one of their shop front acts . Not a lot of sense involved in the whole affair , particularly as those concerned with the horse know a lot more about their charge than a casual inspector  , however qualified or empowered .

THe problem is that the english stewards from the bottom up do not like their authority (percieved or actual) ever being challanged. throw in a disregard for basic common sense and and uppity paddy and its just lighting the fuze.
