They didn't get paid, they shouldn't have to sue to get paid what they are entitled to. You would sympathise with the employees in any other industry so why not when its footballers.

Giant you know me fair to the last and totally impartial but if these lads are owed nearly a month's wages this may there only avenue or the last straw. I am sure the players involved did not make this decision lightly. I would guess what was happening the club were trying to rail road them into taking only a few weeks of their wages of their contract, themwalk and sign for another club next month. I would hope Bohs fans see through this and stand behinf their players, actually i am sure they will Giant !!!!

They haven`t actually done this job since the season finished two months ago! If your place of work had no income, would you expect to be paid people who are doing any work?
These contracts are unsustainable in the current climate. We have other creditors too who are far more important than a couple of greedy players.
Rf, you know the score as did the players when they bottled that match in Wales. If Rovers are as they purport to be "part time" Laugh ,then you don`t pay players in the off season where revenue streams are minimal at best.
I heard that tool Ken Early pontificating about it last night on Off the ball. Some cheek. Self serving programme that turns a blind eye to the vast debts the European leagues they salivate over have amassed.

Giant you signed them on 52 weeks a year contracts, there is more to this than meets the eye though imo. My bet would have been on that the Bohs board thought screw the players hard enough they''ll soon understand they won't be getting anything else and have to (happy to do so) head off to another club before the season starts with just a few weeks wages that was actually owed to them..

Wexford youths are as good a model as you will get for LOI and more clubs should follow the example of hairy mick. He has ploughed a good deal of dough into them to get them up and running but they have a sustainable model based on using local talent and not paying out what they cant afford. Bohs, Shels, Cork, Rovers etc have all demonstrated at vaious stages how not to it.........

He's not too bad a keeper though WR, i would say O'Neill could be tricky enough to get on with at the best of times !? Only thing i would say about Murphy is that he is a little small.

oneill is his own man rocket , and makes decisions he belives are right for the club . i know for a fact he was not happy with barrys attitude and made it known to all . i cant ever see barry back while o'neill is in charge .barry took the money and ran  , cant see o'neill ever letting him put his foot back in tallaght while he's in charge . we let danny murphy go this week .

Wish the two of them the best of luck. Doubtless they have families and houses to run and expect payment.

That`s nice.
I wished they choked on a turkey bone earlier.
One of them is looking for as much as he can off us, is not short of monay, and has an agreement to join Rovers.
The other one is one of the worst players I`ve ever seen and didn`t play for us after May because of a mysterious injury nobody could treat!

no point moaning about who they are or what they are

Who`s moaning? Confused
Plenty of people with opinions sticking in their two cents worth without knowing any of the facts.
I didn`t start the thread and I haven`t named them, I`m merely defending my clubs position like you would for Cork City.

Not convinced I would have defended Tom Coughlan, a fool and his money etc

Bohs have been working on the basis of re-mortgaging Dalymount over the last few years which is a crazy business model.
Less crazy than Ollie Byrne or Tom Coughlan's business plans but crazy nonetheless.
