Done well for the first Everton goal

I cant imagine Trap not starting him throughout the next qualifying campaign.

absolute disgrace he cant get a look in for the Irish team. Clueless set-up, you sed it workrider we must have world class team lol

By:
whats with the 'cant get a look in'?
He was in the last squad for a friendly wasnt he? He is clearly in the manager's thoughts and I dont think there was any massive clamour to get him in the squad for the last campaign was there? If he's not in the starting XI for the next international I'd agree with you, but I dont think Coleman has been hard done by so far. |

Coleman should be in the Irish team but he is no Bale.

sirwinalot,
I mean he cant get a look in for a starting spot, hes well fit for a starting spot, u not agree? Last international outing against Norway was the time to give him a chance and see what he was made of. He is def worth a soot on the starting 11, one of the only lads who is playing regular football in the premiership. |

I think he will end up playing a full back role, i agree with Squigs he is no Bale as Bale can't defend at all.
|
|
By:
Bale is also a far superior footballer.

By:
yes he's certainly ready for a starting spot...now.
But prior to this season, Coleman hadn't started a premiership game for everton. Now that he is well on his way to establishing himself as a good premiership player he should be one of the first names on the Ireland team sheet. He hadn't the form in the bag previously to be a glaring omission for Trap's squads prior to the Norway game. It's puzzling why he wasnt given a run in that game admittedly, but I'll hold fire on getting bothered about it unless he is left out for the next competitive game. Great to see a quality young player come through like that though. |

By:
sirwinalot , when you think of the players trap has given caps to , heres a young lad who's playing out of his skin and was surely worth a run against norway , i think trap missed a big chance to blood coleman and give him a little international experiance .

Squigs most attacking players are superior footballers than Defensive palyers. Coleman made bits of Bale in Goodison just over a year ago that led to Bale nearly being loaned about to a Championship club. Bale's a different footballer since he has gone out left which is his position, but probably not fear to jusge Coleman until he start getting regular games at right back which is his more natural position imo and won't get that until Neville retires or Moyes leaves Everton.

He looks ver exciting going forward but has been very fortunate not too give away a few penalties this season. Therefore his tendancy to dive in would worry me if he plays righback
|

Nah can't agree with not playing him because the facts are the refs did not give any of them (although he did seem a little lucky with the challenge on Cole at SB, he is still green but as Moyes said recently he is learning very fast. If you look at it very little comes down the Everton rightas between them himself and Neville are very solid together. I think he will be given his chance at right back again and keep his place after that although Moyes does love Neville.
