The Autumn season never really got into full flow this year with many handlers held up by the weather and most people waiting to get a good run at the spring. The entries for the Dromahane meeting on the 30th are very promising.

As already mentioned by thatsurcoco Kevin O' Donnells 4yo mare Baby Shine looks one of the principal winners to focus on. She did it very nicely against the boys in an ok maiden on debut and looks a track winer in waiting.

There were a few decent 4yo geldings, two of which were mentioned by the previous poster in Harpsy Cord and Mount Sion. Another that looks worth keeping an eye on is Moonlight Drive. He won his maiden in Glenbane justifying much bullishness from his supporters without being fully cooked for the day. He has gone to John Quinn in England and should make a mark over there in novice hurdles and possibly a bumper beforehand. Another to watch is Ballynagour who won for the Crawfords in Kirkinstown. He was unlucky not to win his maiden last year but impressively made amends on his seasonal debut. He might not have beat much but he did it very well and can be placed to lucrative effect by connections if they still have him.

baby shine is gone to lucy wadham unfortunatelyCry

Lucy done ok with that good mare a few years ago didn't she. Can't remember her name but won a lot of races including the 4yo champion hurdle in punchestown if i'm correct. Came bak after a bad injury too i'd say. I don't mind a lot of them small time handlers in England. They generally look after their horses well and keep them bouncing. Can't recall too may other winners she has had off the top of  my head though.

United was it? Think she only has 9 or 10 horses. If she had went to emma lavelle id have been happy.
Report Allduckornodinner December 21, 2010 7:42 PM GMT
Yeah it's United. Don't know how I forgot her name. She was second to Quevega last year in the Mares hurdle. Just had a look at her stats on the RP website there and she seems to have a steady stream of winners annually  over the past number of years.

Ideally I would be hoping that any horse I rated that was going across the water would go to either Henderson, McCain or Emma Lavelle. I ain't paying the training fees though so Lucy Wadham will do just fine Happy. She will be an interesting prospect in a mares bumper when she reappears.

mrs wadham does well enough. id imagine she would have about 20 horses.leighton aspell rides for her.trains a couple on the flat too.didnt she train el dancer who beat american trilogy and somersby in aintree last year. disappointed after.id have no complaints.baby shine will do well for imo

Well done ducky hope you had a wedge on.In fairness to ducky he wouldn't have taken morning prices,he'd have waited until everybody that was entitled to be on ist was on and then ploughed in at 9/4 and 2/1.This man has class and would always do the ethical thing, none of this get on ist and fukk the connections with ducky,it's a bit like the titanic, ladies and children first

Fair play, credit where it's due,a good winner.I had a little bet on it and on all honesty I wouldn't have bet it only that it had been given a favourable mention by yourself. Thanks
