it may have been branded as "poor" all the time by some but we've hit a new level of lowness the weekend ! what happened? the worst seems to be the "good" posters are still using the forum and just avoiding irish sports... which says a lot SadSad

Easy mate we have to many people startig threads like "What happened this forum", as well as that there is nothing to bet on these days. The best poster was Bless and people chased him off for his previews or else he was banned. Horse racing is very dull, i started a thread the other week titled "Trainers who horses are rumored to be missing work", first person came on and said why would i say anything i knew so odds compilers would adjust the odds !!!!! How do you win with that i mean seriously?
Report DecDec. December 19, 2010 12:13 PM GMT

Basically ROCKETFINGERS is trying to intimidate anyone off the Forum unless they are obcessed with LOI soccer..he has suceeded in driving most formites away
Report robo December 19, 2010 1:51 PM GMT
I tried my best to rid this forum of rocket, wonky, sammy and soldier of fortune, but it's no good. They just refuse to stop posting nonsense, there's no more I can do unfortunately. To make matters worse the LOI rubbish isn't even on at the moment and they are still persisting.I've a good mind to pack up in 2011 if there isn't a marked improvement
Report kavvie December 19, 2010 1:56 PM GMT
well lets all hope there isnt a marked improvement so!!

Thank you for your commendable courage and significant contribution in fighting the ongoing war of forum name calling Robo. With positivity we achieve great things.

Rocketfingers  You lost any credibility you had when you said Bless was the best poster on here imho.
Report Rocketfingers December 19, 2010 2:35 PM GMT
I am entitled to my opinion and i feel he was, his views were always well researched. Look at robo a man who is wound up by a smiley face for heaven''s sake Laugh
Report robo December 19, 2010 2:42 PM GMT
What credibility?,that Blessington was another ghoul.

Stop clogging up the threads with rubbish and one word answers, you said the ground will be soft link for this info.
Report SamuelMorse December 19, 2010 2:47 PM GMT
everyone is a mug in robo the saddo's eye's , but it turns out he is the only mug and we're all laughing at him .
Report SatelliteFlight December 19, 2010 2:48 PM GMT
Rocketfingers you are a liar too clearly, i never said that on your stupid thread. I said if i did have that information it would probably be in my best interest to keep it to myself and not put it up on a forum where loads could read it. I can get the thread back up for you if you want.

Nowhere did i say in my post anything about odds compilers so perhaps you should check your information and stop telling porkies
Report workrider December 19, 2010 2:50 PM GMT
you in shelbourne last night or did you hit limerick ?
Report SatelliteFlight December 19, 2010 2:52 PM GMT
yeah in SPK, was waiting on Hare Mack for a right few quid in a double with Medermit from Monday Cry why did Farley Turbo have to get a flier Laugh, huge roar went up in Shelbourne when he led

Sat i don't want to row and in fairness i did not mention any names.
Report workrider December 19, 2010 2:57 PM GMT
yeah couldent belive it myself , did he not break like that from t1  the night we watched him together at shelbourne ?
Report SatelliteFlight December 19, 2010 3:04 PM GMT
Yeah he doesn't want to be on the fence imo but still couldn't believe he came out like that.  From doing 3.14 and 3.00 sectionals to a 2.84 in the final, stunning performance though. Though the 2nd ran a fine race too
Report workrider December 19, 2010 3:08 PM GMT
yeah he took a massive bump at the first bend , would never have beaten the winner but really tried to make up the  lost ground . you make any money last night ?
Report SatelliteFlight December 19, 2010 3:12 PM GMT
Done no good, had been in fine form the last few weeks until last night. Not to worry have a nice bit on Ballymac Tipp @ 6-1 for the Gold Collar (final on tuesday) and he should be odds on now
Report workrider December 19, 2010 3:28 PM GMT
i thought ruths would have given him more of a run last time , the way he finished the time before that was breath taken , i'm sure she'll have him right for the final . having said that i hope for your bet and liams sake ballymac wins .
Report SatelliteFlight December 19, 2010 3:47 PM GMT
The slow going would of been totally against Tipp that night though, if its like that again i would be worried but if the track is running better like last Friday i think Tipp is a good thing as long as he gets his normal start
Report Byerley_Racing December 19, 2010 3:47 PM GMT
unfortunately it is finnish. there were alot of very good posters here once upon a time however, there is no incentive for them to stay (or return) as the noise/signal ratio is unmanageable. Unsurprisingly, many of the very best posters got to know each other personally and still benefit from each others opinions and information. The forum is worse off for having lost these voices. Hardly any of the old voices remain. I still see that kavvie is active and wonder how or why he continues to punishes himself.
Report kavvie December 19, 2010 8:46 PM GMT
i contributed to a few threads that are close to my heart like the coursing thread and a few racing ones if i had a point of view or maybe a bit of info that might help .theres really only about 5 "bad eggs "that are ruining it for everyone else.the problem with these people is that that they have argumentative personalitys and just go against people for the sake of it.i think tho that  sadly one of my new years resolutions will be to stop contributing here

used to be good chat about the League of Ireland here. It wasnt about having your hand held to place your bets, just good analysis and flagging up of bits and pieces of value.

I see many of the posters are still about but post less frequently. The Shamrock Rovers / Bohemians schoolyard nonsense and the LOI v GAA has killed any incentive to start or contribute to a thread about the laegue.

A shame.
Report Giant Strides December 20, 2010 1:58 PM GMT
I can but laugh at some of the tripe I read about the "rare oul times" of this forum. Was it one big love-in? Are there no degenerates in the world you guys live in?
Sirwinalot. I`m open to a constructive LOI debate anytime. I kept quiet for a while about my club allegiance, but I was eventually compelled to defend my club against constant, pathetic and untrue criticism from the usual suspects.
People like what they want to. If these golden posters have moved on, then it`s obviously a shame. You make the most of what`s left or stop whinging and move on yourself.

Think his backing for the blanket bank guarantee was the beginning of the end for him.

In comparison to recent posters a good man to get a topic going though.
