Shoulda' been a Cork keeper imo
By:
cringeworthy

He is a very determined and proud Kerryman, that likes his fashion and accepts he alone is responsible for his misdemeanours, and served as an altar boy for 3 years, that sums up the interview for me.

Good summary

as a kerry man watching it i was embarrased
By:
The guy has set himself up for massive piss-taking in the year to come. Can you imagine all the half backs throughout the country waiting to get in his ear after watching that shyte?!!
And poncing round New York for the cameras, looks like maybe Donal Og won't be on his own much longer |

By:
Luckily he is not from Cork.

Its not a suprise that the first **** was from cork, they are normally the first to shout their mouth off when things dont go their way.

As a license payer I was embarrassed how terrible Tubridy was as an interviewer. He is typical of the backwardness that has also been shown by some on this thread. Hadn't a clue how to approach a man who has an interest in fashion and isn't afraid to hide it. Now Galvin doesn't need me to stand up for him but I thought Tubridy was shocking and this led to a very uncomfortable interview for both. Galvin has two passions. He is the best footballer in the country on his day and has represented his county with pride despite some troubling times. His second is fashion and what about it. He is likely to make a succesful career of it. As for the half backs that will be in his ear this year. Well if they, and indeed the likes freddiek and rouge dealer and their ilk, showed half the drive and passion that Galvin shows then the country would be a lot better off. No wonder he loves New York. At least over there you can be your real self whle this place has hardly moved on since Brian Friel wrote about the cultural deficiencies of Ireland all those years ago.

Didn't think he was that bad even tho I don't like him. Pretty much held his hands up for all he's done.

By:
Not a fan and no matter how he dresses he will still be ugly. One hell of a footballer though.

a hard day's night
I have admired Galvin as a footballer down the years and he would be close to my first pick of an inter-county 15. But even his fans will have been squirming lookin at that interview. I don't hold anything against him for the trouble he's gotten into over the years cos many great players have had an edge to them I do think he's gotten a bit carried away with his own image though and now he has a persecution complex. I agree with u about Tubridy, he's just not working out at all on the LLS |
By:
watching it on iplayer
for all his chat, he walks like a bogger he was set up, especially the shoes bit he's a nob with no self awareness, trying to cut out a career for himself in the media or whatever, hawking himself out by making an arse of himself |

Anyone paying the TV Licence must be tearing their hair out!

By:
Tubridy hasnt a clue about GAA so not an ideal person to quiz galvin about things other than his well publicised burst ups...
By:
I SEE tv3 are showing documentry bout cork football team b4 xmas, imagine how much publicity they would have got if they won more than 1.

came across ok imo, pity about the ny outfit though ffs
![]() as prev said interviewer is a plonker but it is rte what u expect ? |
By:
Came across as ok but there seemed real moments of akwardness, to be fair that t-shirt when he was in NY you got to wonder about it though and what sort of guy wears it. He could have a decent career himself in the media Galvin may.

Turbridy is a useful as tits on a bull. He was **** with the Rubberbandits, pure thick ****. Ask them a few proper questions, wat backround have they, why do the wear the plastic bags.
Same with Galvin, Turbridy doesn't have the brains to ask good q's. |
By:
well said sindar, totally removed from reality i think he is
By:
didnt see the interview cause I had a fair idea it would be cringeworthy...Tubridy after a promising enough start is going downhill in the interview scene... a good interviewer regardless of there personal opinion on the interviewiee will not protray this during the interview. You can tell from some of hes recent interviews wheather he personally likes or feels comfortable with whom hes interviewing or not.. the rubberbandits were an example where he wanted a shovel and the interview could have done with one. A recent interivew with Nadine Coyle was another example. He is starting to turn into another Pat kenny....
By:
In all fairness to Tubridy how could anyone take to them rubberbandits.Anybody with a braincell wouldn't find them any way amusing and the temptation to put another plastic bag over their heads ,this time without the holes for their mouth and nose
By:
they wouldn't be my cup of tea either Robo, but hes paid to make an effort to interview whats put in front of him not judge them... like them or not they had 2 million hits on you tube so they deservied ther day in the sun as for example "crystal swing" did... now see the effort he put into that interview... miles apart..
By:
spud it could be the Queen of England and robo still would not make an effort !!!
By:
just watching the show now
that was a seriously soft free that Cooper got near the end Galvin coming across a bigger nob as the program progresses, Cork lads will be ready to loaf him at every opportunity after the various comments |
By:
lmao what a clown swinging around in that chair,"I watch the city on MTV instead of the sunday game". Do any of the players watch the sport?
By:
nearly lost my bollix on that Munster Final, thought Limerick were dead
could easily have won it if they slotted a few frees at levels |
By:
when all is said and done he is still a savage footballer at the end of the day
By:
no doubt about it, fallon
proven by the scores before and after his entrances in those cork matches at 30/31 he'll have one last hurrah with this Kerry team given the overall uniformity in standard across the top6 or so he'll get into yet more trouble though |
By:
Tubridy is the most pretencious ar5ehole to come out of montrose for many a year and that takes some going in that building. Hilarious him trying to sound/look cultured writing books on JFK and pumping Jazz on every show he is on...a brown nosing weasel who feathered his nest by sticking his head up G Byrnes ar5e
