I read recently he's been diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease . Apparently it's a slower moving version so hopefully he can function for many more years . Good pro Colm and presents a good image of racing .
Best of luck to him. |

Vubiant, heard something on those lines but heard him being interviewed during the week and he sounded very upbeat after receiving his award. I wish him all the best

Just got the repeat of the Late Late Show, Colm Murray came across extremely well. Would have made a brilliant host of the Late Late Show himself, intelligent, well spoken, witty and good craic. Best wishes Colm.

Obviously terrible for the guy and his family.
Always amazed the guy got a job reading the news at RTE. His diction is terrible. The RTE sports Dept. is one big gravy train as far as I can see. |
By:
Can't agree with that applehunter at all, actually can't even see your angle, would have thought he was one of the better ones that worked in RTE, the likes of Con Murphy could learn a lot from him imo.
By:
one of the real good guys. such a terrible unforgiving disease.
By:
I don`t think anyone is disputing he`s a good guy and I certainly would wish him well, but the fact that RTE is a gravy train is indisputable.
Con Murphy is far from the worst of them either. |
By:
Worst of the lot has to be Kenny
By:
RTE is only a nixer for Colm.
